Description

MikroTik LtAP LR8G LTE6 kit is a gateway designed for LoRa communication. LoRa is a technology intended for IoT (Internet of Things) applications. It provides a very long transmission range at the cost of low bandwidth and high latency, which are not obstacles for transmitting data from sensors. The device includes a built-in LTE category 6 modem with aggregation of up to two bands. The maximum theoretical mobile connection throughput is 300 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. The LtAP can broadcast a Wi-Fi 4 network in the 2.4 GHz band. It utilizes 2x2 MIMO and IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols, with a maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput of 300 Mbps. Additionally, the gateway is equipped with a GPS modem, enabling location tracking.

The offered product features an industrial-grade enclosure with an IP54 protection rating and a wide operating temperature range (from -40 to 70°C). It includes three mini SIM slots, enabling the use of multiple operators' SIM cards to ensure uninterrupted operation in case of a connection failure. The LtAP can be powered via PoE, an automotive connector, or a DC socket. The kit includes a standard 24V DC / 1.2A power adapter and a cable with an automotive connector.

LoRa gateway, GPS

The offered product is designed to function as a LoRa gateway and supports the 863–870 MHz frequency range. It features an external SMA connector for attaching an external LoRa antenna. An additional advantage is the built-in GPS modem, which also allows the connection of an external antenna.

LoRa transmission is intended for wireless communication with various sensors and other devices used in IoT solutions that do not require high bandwidth or low latency. The advantage of this technology is its ability to transmit data over very long distances at a relatively low cost. The device is designed to work with the open-source infrastructure of The Things Network.

LTE Cat. 6 Modem, 3 SIM Slots

The LtAP LR8G LTE6 kit features a built-in LTE Cat. 6 modem with support for 2-band aggregation. The maximum theoretical throughput is 300 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. A key advantage of the device is the inclusion of three SIM slots (mini SIM), allowing the use of multiple operators' SIM cards. This is especially significant in the transportation industry, where signal issues with certain operators may occur during movement or at rest stops.

Wi-Fi 4 N300

The device can broadcast a Wi-Fi 4 network in the 2.4 GHz band. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols and 2x2 MIMO (dual-chain), with a maximum theoretical throughput of 300 Mbps. You can create a wireless network using either a mobile data connection or a standard Ethernet connection. Wi-Fi is also useful when utilizing the LoRa gateway functionality, as it allows for the local connection of wireless sensors.

1 Gigabit Ethernet Port, 3 Power Options

The offered product includes a gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps) and supports three power options: passive PoE, a DC socket, or an automotive connector. For PoE and the DC socket, the voltage range is 12–30 V DC, while for the automotive connector, it is 12–27 V DC. The device's maximum power consumption is only 12 W. The kit includes a standard 24 V / 1.2 A power adapter and an additional cable with an automotive connector.

Industrial Enclosure

The enclosure is designed for harsh conditions, made of metal and rated IP54 for protection. It features an exceptionally wide operating temperature range, from -40 to 70°C, allowing the LtAP to be installed in unheated locations. It is ideal for use in unused attics or warehouse/production halls.
