The TP-Link RE305 is a dual-band signal extender (repeater) capable of operating in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It is equipped with one Fast Ethernet port and can also operate as an access point (AP). The repeater plugs directly into a wall electrical socket (EU plug). Configuration is simple and intuitive and can be performed, among other ways, via the Tether application available for mobile devices.
The offered product has two external omnidirectional antennas and supports 2x2 MIMO / dual-chain technology in both bands. It utilizes the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz) / IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac (5 GHz) standards. This makes it possible to achieve a maximum theoretical throughput of 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) / 867 Mbps (5 GHz). The extender also supports several useful features such as wireless transmission statistics, access control, and LED control.
