Tumtec FST-V1 is a comfortable and handy fiber optic splicer. It can be used for SM, MM, DS and NZDS fibers. It has a 3.5 "color touch screen. The maximum magnification of the image is 380x, it is more than enough for efficient splicing. The basic functions can also be managed using physical buttons. The splicing time is about 6 seconds (for singlemode fibers), and heating the casing 13 s in the quick mode or 30 s in the standard mode.

The set includes a diamond knife for cutting the fiber, a three-eye stripper and a flat cable stripper. Along with the splicer you get an additional pair of electrodes and spare holders. The whole thing was closed in a handy suitcase for easy transport. The welder is equipped with a 2200 mAh battery, which should be enough to perform 120 splicing and heating cycles. According to the manufacturer, the lifetime of the electrodes is 5000 splices.

The splicer is characterized by high durability, it is protected against moisture and dust. It can be used in temperatures from -10 to 50 °C, it can cope even in difficult conditions. In addition, it has a built-in flashlight, so it allows you to work in poor lighting conditions. Menu only available in English.
