WDM transmission (1 SM fiber), SC/UPC connector

Thanks to the mediaconverter, you can create a fiber optic transmission using 1 Singlemode fiber. Transmission is carried out on a wavelength of 1310nm (Tx), and reception is carried out on a wavelength of 1550nm (Rx). The maximum range of such a connection is as much as 20 km, but you can successfully use the mediaconverter over a shorter distance, e.g. 200 meters. The product is equipped with an SC/UPC type connector, remember that to set up the transmission you need a second device that supports Tx 1550nm and Rx 1310nm. The maximum transmission bandwidth is 100 Mb/s, the Ethernet port supports automatic connection speed negotiation.

PoE output (802.3af)

An important advantage of the offered product is the PoE output located on the Ethernet port. It supports the IEEE 802.3af standard which is widely used in many devices. The device itself is powered from a DC socket, supports a voltage of 48 V DC, the set includes a power supply.

Many uses

Support for the IEEE 802.3af standard enables the power supply of many different devices, including, in particular, IP cameras and access points. The media converter with PoE power supply is especially useful for monitoring, you can connect the camera at a distance much greater than 100 m.
