The TP-Link Deco BE65 is an access point designed for transmitting Wi-Fi 7 wireless networks. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 ax/be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz, 2880 Mb/s in 5 GHz, and 5760 Mb/s in 6 GHz. Such speeds can be achieved thanks to the 802.11 be protocol in the 5 and 6 GHz bands, which includes high modulation (4K QAM) and wide channels (up to 320 MHz). Wi-Fi 7 introduces many useful features, primarily MLO (Multi-Link Operation), which allows simultaneous transmission across all three bands, significantly improving connection quality and throughput. To utilize MLO, both devices (transmitting and receiving) must support this standard.
The offered product features 4 ports of 2.5G Ethernet, each supporting WAN/LAN mode with automatic detection. You can build a local network backbone with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gb/s, significantly higher than standard 1G networks. The Deco BE65 is designed to work in a Mesh system, allowing it to connect wirelessly with other compatible access points to create an extensive network. As you move between devices, you will be automatically switched without any loss of connection.
Wi-Fi 7 wireless network
TP-Link Deco BE65 enables the transmission of a Wi-Fi 7 wireless network. This is a modern standard that offers significantly higher bandwidth compared to solutions using Wi-Fi 6 / Wi-Fi 6E. It also provides much lower latency and supports more devices connected simultaneously to the wireless network.
BE9300 throughput
The device allows for simultaneous transmission on three bands, utilizing IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 ax/be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band, 2880 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band, and 5760 Mb/s in the 6 GHz band.
Such high speeds are achievable thanks to the modern IEEE 802.11be protocol, the successor to 802.11ax. The device utilizes 4K QAM modulation and channels with a maximum width of 320 MHz.
Good transmission range
The access point offers excellent transmission range and maintains high quality bandwidth despite obstacles. This is made possible through the use of MLO (Multi-Link Operation), a feature that allows the client to connect to the network using all three bands simultaneously rather than just one. Even at a distance from the Deco BE65, you can still achieve good speeds by leveraging the combined capabilities of all frequencies. The Wi-Fi coverage extends to large areas, especially when you use Ethernet cables to connect individual access points.
4x 2.5G Ethernet
The Deco BE65 features four 2.5G Ethernet ports, each capable of functioning as either WAN or LAN. They support automatic detection of the connection type. These interfaces allow you to create a local network with a bandwidth of 2500 Mb/s, which is 2.5 times higher than standard 1G networks. Essential devices such as a NAS server, PC, or gaming console can be connected using an Ethernet cable, ensuring optimal performance and speed.
An additional advantage is the USB 3.0 port. You can use it to create an FTP server, media server, or Samba server. This allows you to easily store and share files within your local network.
Hybrid connection
Deco BE65 within a Mesh network can be connected both wired and wirelessly simultaneously. Both connections are aggregated to achieve the highest network throughput. Additionally, the use of Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allows for wireless connections across all bands simultaneously. This ensures that Wi-Fi communication between individual Deco BE65 units operates at significantly higher speeds compared to older Wi-Fi 6E / Wi-Fi 6 standards.
VPN
The Deco BE65 can be used as a VPN server to create secure access to your local network while you're away from home. It supports OpenVPN, PPTP, and L2TP/IPSec protocols. The access point can also operate as a VPN client to connect to another server, supporting the same standards for this purpose.
Private IoT Network
You can separate the standard Wi-Fi network from the network intended for IoT devices using the Deco BE85. This setup ensures that all devices are secure and segregated from each other.
Modern Mesh network
A Mesh network created by the Deco BE65 features a unified network name. The system autonomously determines which access point (AP) a user connects to at any given time to ensure the best possible signal. The device supports seamless roaming, allowing devices to switch between access points without experiencing a drop in connection quality. This setup provides consistent and reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout the designated area, enhancing the user experience by maintaining a stable connection as they move around.
The manufacturer has implemented advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, allowing the system to learn appropriate behavior. The network adjusts to users and over time provides even better quality than initially.
Simple management
You can easily manage the device using the Deco app. The initial setup does not require advanced knowledge and can be performed by any user. The app also allows real-time monitoring and observation of the wireless network's operation.
Voice control
The product offered is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can control the access point using voice commands through these platforms.
High compatibility
All access points in the Deco series are compatible with each other! If you already have older generation access points in your network, you can seamlessly add Deco BE65 to them. If this is your first set, you don't need to worry about compatibility in the future.
