Description

The TP-Link ER706W-4G is a router compatible with the Omada system. It supports mobile connectivity with an LTE Cat. 6 modem, capable of aggregating two bands simultaneously. The maximum theoretical mobile connection throughput is 300 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. The device can broadcast a Wi-Fi 6 wireless network and supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 574 Mbps in 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps in 5 GHz. The router features 2 WAN/LAN ports—1 SFP slot and 1 1G Ethernet port—and 4 LAN ports with 1G Ethernet. It supports load balancing, ensuring both internet sources are utilized evenly when using two WAN ports. The ER706W-4G stands out for its high performance and extensive VPN capabilities, supporting GRE, WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP, PPTP, and SSL.

Mobile transmission 4G LTE cat 6

The device has a built-in modem supporting 4G LTE Cat. 6 transmission. It can aggregate two bands simultaneously, with a maximum theoretical throughput of 300 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads.

Wi-Fi 6 AX3000

The router can broadcast a Wi-Fi 6 wireless network, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mbps in 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps in 5 GHz. This speed is significantly higher than standard Wi-Fi 5 solutions and will be appreciated by any user looking to upgrade their network.

Omada System Compatibility

You can manage the device using a graphical web interface in standalone mode, where the router supports more features, including GRE. Alternatively, you can manage it through the Omada system, which allows centralized management of multiple access points, switches, and routers to create a unified, large-scale wireless network. As you move between different APs, you'll be automatically switched without losing your Wi-Fi connection. Omada offers many advanced features for network configuration and maintenance. It is a solution designed for professional use in offices, restaurants, schools, universities, and supermarkets.

1x SFP, 5x gigabit Ethernet, load balancing

The ER706W-4G features 2 ports that can function as WAN/LAN—1 SFP slot and 1 gigabit Ethernet port—as well as 4 gigabit Ethernet ports dedicated solely to LAN. This allows you to use two independent internet sources, and the device supports the load balancing function. When more than one WAN port is connected, the traffic will be evenly distributed across both internet sources.

Detachable Antennas, 12V DC Power Supply

The router is equipped with 5 external omnidirectional antennas—2 for LTE connectivity and 3 for Wi-Fi transmission. Each antenna can be unscrewed and replaced with a stronger one if needed. This allows for potentially extended coverage. Installing a different LTE antenna and placing it outside the building can be useful in suburban areas where the signal may be weak. The router features a 2.1/5.5 mm DC socket and supports a 12V DC power supply (nominally 12V DC / 2A).
