MikroTik cAP LTE12 ax is an access point designed for transmitting Wi-Fi 6 networks. It utilizes IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s for 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s for 5 GHz. The device features an integrated LTE category 12 modem with support for aggregation of up to 4 bands. The maximum theoretical mobile transmission speed is 600 Mb/s for downloads and 150 Mb/s for uploads. The access point has two gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s). The first port serves as a power input for PoE (802.3af/at), while the second port offers a PoE output (passive, maximum voltage 57 V DC), allowing you to connect and power an additional device. Power can also be supplied through a standard DC jack with an input voltage range of 18–57 V. The housing is designed for ceiling mounting, and the product comes with the necessary mounting accessories. At its core, the device features a powerful quad-core ARM processor with a clock speed of 864–1800 MHz. MikroTik cAP LTE12 ax is an excellent solution for various locations where standard internet connections are unavailable, and mobile transmission is required. These can include festival stands, park kiosks, or food trucks. The wall-mounted design ensures the access point does not take up space, which is often limited on portable stands.
Wi-Fi 6 AX1800
The device can transmit a Wi-Fi 6 wireless network, utilizing IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s for 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s for 5 GHz. The offered product delivers better wireless network speeds compared to standard Wi-Fi 5 solutions and introduces the new WPA3 data encryption standard. It ensures full utilization of the integrated LTE modem.
LTE cat 12 modem
The access point features a built-in LTE Category 12 modem with four-band aggregation. The maximum theoretical throughput is 600 Mb/s for downloads and 150 Mb/s for uploads. The device is equipped with one micro SIM slot, and the modem supports most bands used in Europe (a full list can be found in the specifications). With its high throughput, the cAP LTE12 ax is suitable for a wide range of applications, including home use.
2 Gigabit Ethernet Ports, Dual Power Inputs, PoE Output
The product features 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s). The first port supports PoE input, with an input voltage range of 18–57 V DC (passive PoE or PoE 802.3af/at). The second port includes PoE Passthrough, where the voltage and power depend on the input. This allows the cAP LTE12 ax to connect to and power other devices, such as an additional access point or an IP camera.
Power can also be supplied to the access point using a standard DC socket. The input voltage in this case is also 18–57 V DC. The package includes a 48 V / 0.95 A power adapter and a PoE injector.
Ceiling Mount
The enclosure is designed for ceiling installation, and the necessary mounting accessories are included in the package. MikroTik has addressed customer expectations by introducing the cAP LTE12 ax as the first ceiling-mountable LTE device. It is perfect for locations with limited space (such as food trucks, stands, or kiosks) and areas where you want a centrally located, discreet access point (like in restaurants or exhibition halls).
RouterOS Level 4, High Performance
This device stands out from the competition with its high performance, featuring a quad-core processor clocked at 864 - 1800 MHz and 1 GB of RAM. The RouterOS operating system provides access to a wide range of advanced software features familiar from other MikroTik solutions. The offered product can effortlessly serve as the main router and handle more complex configurations, such as those involving VPNs.
