Ubiquiti G3 Gate Starter Kit is a starter set designed for the UniFi Access system. It enables gate control and consists of a hub (Gate Hub), intercom (G3 Intercom), PoE++ power supply, and converters for transmitting Ethernet over coaxial/two-wire cables. The hub should be connected directly to the electronics provided by the gate manufacturer, allowing you to operate a standard sliding, double-leaf, lifting gate, or various types of garage doors. Additionally, you can also monitor the status of a side gate. The included intercom functions as a video door phone, allowing guests to make voice calls and the owner to remotely open the gate via the app. The G3 Intercom also enables gate access using NFC cards/keyfobs, a PIN code, phone tap (linked with an Apple/Google account), or directly from the app. The last component in the kit is a pair of converters that allow you to convert the signal from Ethernet cables to coaxial or two-wire cabling. Thanks to this, you can modernize your building’s access system without the need for new wiring.
Gate Hub
The kit includes a hub designed to monitor the gate’s open/close status. It can be used to operate various types of parking or garage gates. Additionally, it offers the option to connect side doors or a pedestrian gate, depending on the application. The hub is equipped with 5 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s). The first port provides a PoE++ (802.3bt) input, while the remaining four deliver PoE (802.3af) output. The total maximum PoE output budget is 55 W.


G3 Intercom
The intercom is intended to control access for people entering the parking area, serving a role similar to that of a video door phone. Guests can make a voice call, which you then receive in the app, allowing you to decide whether to open the gate. In business applications, the intercom also functions as a reader that grants access to authorized individuals, such as employees. It supports NFC cards/keyfobs, PIN code unlocking, the mobile app, or phone tap (via Apple/Google Wallet). The device is designed for outdoor use and features an IP65 protection rating.
Converter Set
The included converters allow you to transmit Ethernet over coaxial cable or any two-wire cable. This way, when connecting the G3 Intercom and Gate Hub, you can take advantage of older, existing infrastructure without the need to install new cabling.


PoE++ Power Supply
The kit includes a PoE++ power supply (60 W) designed for the Gate Hub.
Application
The kit allows you to integrate gate status control into the UniFi Access system. It is suitable for a wide range of use cases, both residential (for entrance and garage gates) and commercial. The system can be expanded with additional LPR-enabled cameras (sold separately), which enable automatic gate opening by recognizing a vehicle’s license plate. An additional advantage is the inclusion of Ethernet-to-coaxial/two-wire converters, allowing you to use existing cabling to connect the Gate Hub.
