DGS-1210-28 / ME switch equipped with 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 SFP ports. It was designed for use in Metro Ethernet networks. Thanks to the use of SFP and 10/100 / 1000BASE-T ports, the device provides a very large data throughput. The offered product has overvoltage protection and numerous advanced Layer 2 management functions.
The device supports 802.3ad port aggregation and Spanning Tree Protocols (802.1D, 802.1w and 802.1s). The advanced Quality of Service (802.1p) function enables efficient bandwidth control with 8 priority queues. Packet classification can be based on ToS, DSCP, MAC, IPv4, VLAN ID, TC / UDP port number, protocol type or according to the adopted user configuration (e.g. to improve some applications such as VoIP or IPTV).
The offered product supports port-based or host-based access control (802.1X), has a guest VLAN function and RADIUS / TACAS + authentication. Built-in Safeguard Engine protects the processor against broadcast, multicast and unicast flooding threats. Switch management can be done from the level of an intuitive graphical interface, the software provides many functions useful in network management, diagnostics and remote troubleshooting.
