Description

Ubiquiti UFiber WIFI6 is an ONU / ONT client terminal designed for use in the GPON network. It is mainly used with OLT transmitting terminals of the UFiber series. It is equipped with 4 gigabit Ethernet ports and 1 SC/APC port, which serves as a WAN. It has the ability to transmit WiFi in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, in accordance with the new standard 802.11ax (WiFi 6). The maximum theoretical throughput of a wireless connection is 1500 Mb/s, 1200 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band and 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band.

GPON made by Ubiquiti

UFiber is a closed GPON network ecosystem created by Ubiquiti. It enables the provision of triple play FTTH (Fiber to the Home) services with internet, telephone and television. The GPON network supports the transmission with a capacity of 2.5 / 1.25 Gb/s using a single-mode fiber optic cable. You can manage UFIber devices through a simple, graphical web interface accessible from a web browser. All settings are available in one place, which greatly facilitates network management. GPON Ubiquiti solutions are not compatible with devices from other manufacturers, they constitute a closed ecosystem.

SC/APC port, 4x gigabit Ethernet

The WAN port is SC/APC type, to it you connect the signal from the OLT terminal. There are 4 gigabit Ethernet ports 10/100/1000 Mb/s available for customers. The use of high-bandwidth ports enables full use of the speed offered by the GPON standard.

WiFi 6 (802.11ax standard)

The device supports the modern 802.11 ax standard, also known as WiFi 6. The wireless network is broadcast in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. Thanks to the new standard, the maximum theoretical throughput can reach up to 1500 Mb/s: 1200 Mb/s in 5 GHz and 300 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz (2x2 MIMO). ONT has built-in omnidirectional antennas.

PoE or USB-C powered

An additional advantage is the ability to power the device via passive PoE with 24 V DC. This is useful in many situations, especially in networks where we use PoE switches. In addition, the terminal can be supplied as standard via the USB-C port with 5 V DC. A power supply with a USB-C connector is included in the set.
