Huawei HN8145V5 is an ONT client terminal designed for XG-PON networks (asymmetric 10G/2.5G). It has a fiber optic SC / UPC connector, 4 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s) and 1 RJ11 telephone port. An additional advantage is the 2 USB ports (1x 2.0, 1x 3.0) which allow, for example, to create an SMBA server. The device can transmit a wireless network, supports the Wi-Fi 5 standard. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz) and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac (5 GHz) protocols. The maximum theoretical throughput of WiFi transmission is 1200 Mb/s - 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mb/s in 5 GHz.
The offered product supports the XG-PON standard, as WAN it uses an SC/UPC port. Compared to the standard GPON transmission, XG-PON differs primarily in terms of throughput and split. It supports a speed of 10 Gb/s when downloading data and 2.5 Gb/s when uploading (in GPON it is 2.5 / 1.25 Gb/s). Split is 1x256, so you can connect twice as many subscribers to one XG-PON port than to the GPON port. Additionally, the transmission is conducted on other wavelengths than GPON, so with 1 fiber you can carry out two transmissions, in both standards simultaneously.
HN8145V5 has the ability to create wireless transmission in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously (Wi-Fi 5). Supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in 5 GHz. The maximum theoretical transmission throughput is 1200 Mb/s - 300 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 867 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The terminal is equipped with 2 external omnidirectional antennas, it provides a much better transmission range than devices with integrated antennas. AC1200 bandwidth is enough to comfortably use the Internet, watch high-definition movies and play online. The HN8145V5 also supports WiFi functions useful for the subscriber, such as parental control and a shutdown schedule.

The device has 4 gigabit ports with 4 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s), which enable full use of the bandwidth offered by Wi-Fi. Key devices such as a console or a PC should be connected directly to the ONT with a cable. The telephone port allows you to connect a landline and provide VoIP telephony to customers. Using the USB ports, you can create an FTP network drive or a SAMBA server.
