Tenda EX12 is a wireless router designed to work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. Supports Wi-Fi 6, supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax in 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in 5 GHz. The maximum theoretical wireless bandwidth is 3000 Mb/s: 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The Wi-Fi 6 standard also introduces other useful features - MU-MIMO (simultaneous transmission and reception of data from multiple clients, which eliminates the data queuing), Beamforming (beamforming to improve coverage) and WPA3 encryption. The EX12 can be connected in a Mesh network where multiple devices can communicate with each other wirelessly without the need for an Ethernet cable. Thanks to this, you can freely set the access point, all you need is access to an electrical outlet. EX12 supports IEEE 802.11 k/v standards and data roaming, when moving between individual routers connected within one Mesh network, you should not experience bandwidth drops. Wireless network Wi-Fi 6 AX3000

The device supports a wireless network in the Wi-Fi 6 standard, uses the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in the 5 GHz band. With channel widths up to 160 MHz and 1024 QAM modulation, the maximum theoretical throughput is 3000 Mb/s - 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The Broadcom quad-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz is responsible for the work, which ensures high performance, even with many connected users. EX12 provides better wireless throughput than competing devices using the AX1800 network.

Bandwidth up to 160 MHz

With channels up to 160 MHz wide, you can take full advantage of the 802.11 ax protocol. The maximum theoretical throughput in the 5 GHz band reaches 2402 Mbps, while devices using 80 MHz channels can achieve a maximum of 1201 Mbps.

Large transmission range

The EX12 uses four separate signal amplifiers to ensure a strong and stable signal. You can use the network even in difficult conditions, in buildings with many obstacles. An additional advantage is Beamforming - a function that shapes the beam to provide the user with the best possible connection. You will feel the difference especially if you want to connect in a place where the coverage is already quite weak.

Using a 3-pack, you can cover a very large area, e.g. in a multi-storey house. If the signal is still too weak, you can expand the system with more devices.

One Wi-Fi name, roaming

The Wi-Fi network is visible under one name, despite transmitting in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. The device decides which connection is best for the user at any given time. EX12 supports IEEE 802.11 k/v protocols, provides data roaming. If you use many access points within one network, you will not experience bandwidth drops and signal problems when you move between them. The network created by several EX12s will also be visible under one name.

Mesh system

Tenda EX12 supports the Mesh system - access points can communicate with each other wirelessly to create one large Wi-Fi network. You do not need to use additional Ethernet cabling and connect individual devices with each other. An additional advantage is the automatic connection function - if you connect another EX12 to an already existing network, it will be detected and automatically configured, without the need to interfere with the settings.

App-based management

You can manage the offered product using the application available for mobile devices with iOS / Android. You can access your local network settings and control its resources anywhere. The application greatly simplifies the configuration, you can install it in a few simple steps. Even an untrained user should have no problem connecting and starting the EX12.

3 gigabit Ethernet ports

The device is equipped with 3 Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), the first one can work as WAN or LAN, and the others only as LAN. Thanks to the use of several ports, you can connect the most important devices, such as a computer, console or Smart TV, with a cable. Users are not doomed to use only the wireless network.

MU-MIMO technology, up to 160 clients

MU-MIMO technology allows you to simultaneously transmit and receive data from multiple clients. Thus, it eliminates the phenomenon of data queuing - devices without this function communicate with each client in turn, which, with many users, leads to a significant reduction in network throughput and increased delay. Up to 160 clients can connect to the network created by EX12 at the same time.

Voice commands

The offered product works with the Amazon Alexa system and can be controlled using voice commands.
