On 8 Ethernet ports there is a PoE power output in the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The maximum power, according to the standard, is 15.4 W for 802.3af devices and 30 W for 802.3at devices. This type of power supply is widely used in ICT devices, monitoring systems and VoIP phones.

The maximum PoE power budget (for all ports) is 92 W. It should be enough to power up to 8 access points, depending on their maximum power consumption.

Two operating modes

IP-COM G1109P-8-102W does not have any management, but it has two operating modes. You can change the mode with a physical switch located on the front of the housing.

Modes:

• "Standard" - the device works like a regular switch, all ports can communicate with each other.
• "VLAN" - ports 1 - 8 are isolated from each other and can only communicate with port 9.
