Tenda MW5G is a set consisting of 2 wireless routers. The devices are designed to operate in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, in accordance with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n in 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in 5 GHz (Wi-Fi 5). They use 2x2 MIMO, thanks to which the maximum theoretical throughput is 1200 Mb/s - 300 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 867 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The MW5G uses 2 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), the first of which can work as WAN or LAN, and the second only as LAN. The devices work together in a Mesh network and communicate with each other wirelessly. Thanks to this, you do not need to use additional Ethernet cables to connect individual MW5Gs to each other. This type of network is visible under one name (SSID), moving around the house, the routers automatically selects the connection that will be best for you at the moment. When switching from one point to another, you shouldn't experience any drops in bandwidth.

Gigabit Ethernet ports

Tenda MW5G is equipped with 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000Mbps) for high-quality cable connection. Their use does not in any way limit the bandwidth offered by the wireless network. The first of the ports can work as WAN or LAN, and the second only as LAN.

Long range

Mesh Tenda technology enables wireless communication between access points within one network. You do not need to run Ethernet cabling to each of the transmitting devices. The Mesh system advertises a unified network, the client sees only one network name. The device will work well in large houses where one access point is not able to cover all rooms.

Built-in signal amplifiers

The MW5G has built-in signal amplifiers for the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Greater transmitting power results in better penetration of obstacles, and thus an increase in the transmission range.

Wi-Fi AC1200

The access point can transmit a WiFi wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. Supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz) and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac (5 GHz) protocols, the maximum theoretical throughput is 1200 Mb/s - 867 Mb/s in 5 GHz and 300 Mb/s in 2, 4 GHz. Two, dual-band, built-in omni-directional antennas are responsible for the transmission.

MRC technology

MRC (Maximal Ratio Combining) increases the quality of radio transmission, improves obstacle penetration and network coverage. The improvement in quality is very clearly visible in a situation where the client device is placed in an extreme place with poor coverage.

Beamforming

The Beamforming function is used to shape the beam in order to deliver the best possible signal to client devices. The transmission is focused in the direction the user is facing.

Devices pre-paired

The devices are pre-configured and paired. Right out of the box, you can place them in the right places, connect to power and internet source. After completing these steps, the network will be automatically started.

Up to 80 devices simultaneously

You can connect up to 80 client devices to Tendy MW5G. The access point supports MU-MIMO - simultaneous transmission and reception of data from many clients, thanks to which the transmission queuing phenomenon disappears. A powerful processor that copes well with the load also helps to support so many devices.
