Informir MAG544w3 is an IPTV set-top box based on Linux version 4.9. It has an efficient, quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 processor clocked at 2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. It provides very high performance, easily copes with video content in 4K resolution at 60 fps. The device is equipped with an HDMI 2.1 connector, two USB 2.0 ports and a fast Ethernet port. In addition, it supports Wi-Fi transmission in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, in accordance with the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz) and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac (5 GHz) standards. Thanks to this, you do not need to connect the set-top box with an Ethernet cable, a wireless connection is enough.

Like other Informir solutions, the MAG544w3 provides extensive software integration capabilities. It has the Minister TV platform, the API allows you to use your own middleware applications. Thanks to this, each operator can prepare the system to meet his requirements.

Powerful Amlogic S905Y4 chipset

The ARM Cortex-A35 processor equipped with 4 cores clocked at 2 GHz was used. It is approximately 25% more efficient than older MAG solutions. The components ensure smooth playback of video content and fast operation of the interface.

4K HDR at 60 fps

The set-top box supports AV1 and HEVC codecs, thanks to which it can play 4K content without overloading the network. The older H.264 standard required 32 Mb/s for 4K video playback, while HEVC only required 16 Mb/s.

Advanced API for applications and integrations

Infomira's new API enables simple CAS/DRM integration and software development. The interface helps in developing Linux-based MAG applications using Web tools - HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

The functionality of the application is not limited by the manufacturer in any way. The operator can create software specifically for their needs, regardless of whether it is a small hotel network or a large ISP network.

Dolby Digital Plus surround sound

The device uses Dolby Digital Plus, it can deliver 8 channel sound. This allows you to connect up to 7 speakers and a subwoofer. Such a set will allow you to create spatial sound and will significantly improve the feeling of watching movies.

The remote control included in the set is equipped with an IR system that you can modify. If you have other devices at home equipped with IR diodes (e.g. TV or air conditioning), you can connect them to the remote control. You will find 5 special, programmable buttons on it, each of them can be connected to a different device. Programming the button is simple and takes no more than a minute.

The remote control is made of durable ABS plastic, its coating prevents it from slipping out of your hand. Each button is designed to withstand 300,000 keystrokes.

Possibility to connect peripheral devices to USB

Using the USB 2.0 port, you can connect a wide variety of peripherals. MAG544 is compatible with mice, keyboards, memory cards and many other products. The use of a keyboard or mouse will greatly simplify the use of a web browser.
