UniFi Access video intercom

The offered product is a kit consisting of the G4 Doorbell Pro PoE version and the Chime PoE. The G4 Doorbell Pro is a video intercom that allows for two-way voice communication along with video monitoring. Visitors can ring the doorbell using the button on the casing. The Chime PoE is an indoor chime that emits a sound when someone rings the video intercom. Both devices are fully compatible with the UniFi Access product series.

Built-in microphone, speaker and camera

The device features a built-in microphone and speaker that enable two-way voice communication. On the front, there is a 2 MP camera positioned to capture the person standing in front of the door. The camera has built-in IR LEDs and supports night mode.

The visitor has a button available, which should be pressed to initiate a connection. Additionally, below the button, there is a small screen where messages can be displayed.

Additional camera, IPX4, multiple mounting options

The video doorbell has an IPX4-rated casing, which protects it from moisture ingress. It can be successfully used outdoors, at entry doors. The kit includes three mounting plates for different applications. The flat bracket is suitable if you are routing the cable directly from the wall, while the standard bracket is used if you need to run the cable along the wall or facade. The third plate allows you to mount the G4 Doorbell Pro at an angle.

Additionally, in the lower part of the casing, there is a second camera, also with a 2 MP resolution. The manufacturer's intention is for this camera to monitor packages that couriers leave at the doorstep.

1 gigabit Ethernet port, PoE

The offered product uses a gigabit Ethernet port for communication and does not support wireless transmission. It can only be powered using PoE (Power over Ethernet), and the kit does not include a power adapter.

Chime

The kit includes a chime (Chime PoE) equipped with a single fast Ethernet port, which also serves as the PoE power input. The device connects directly to a switch, eliminating the need for a separate power source. The chime has a volume of 80 dB and is used to notify of an incoming call through the video doorbell.

Usage

The G4 Doorbell Pro PoE is ideal for home networks where you are already using other Ubiquiti solutions. It allows you to conveniently manage the system from the UniFi Protect platform. An additional advantage is PoE support, requiring only an Ethernet cable to be connected to each device. This way, the video doorbell will not occupy an electrical outlet or require an additional power cable.
