The Grandstream GWN7603 is an access point designed for transmitting Wi-Fi 5 networks. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols on the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac protocols on the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical wireless network throughput is 300 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mb/s on 5 GHz. The housing is designed for wall mounting, and the necessary mounting accessories are included in the package. Inside, there are two omnidirectional antennas with a gain of 3 / 3.5 dBi. The device is equipped with 4 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s); the first port also serves as a PoE / PoE+ (802.3af/at) and WAN input. The remaining ports function only as LAN, with LAN2 and LAN3 providing PoE output, allowing you to power other devices (the maximum output power for both ports is 12 W).
The offered product is designed for use in a wireless network consisting of multiple devices. It provides advanced management locally or through the cloud, with no need for any licenses and no additional software costs. You can manage multiple access points from a single location.
A network built with Grandstream access points can cover even very large areas. The offered product is ideal for use in hotels, guesthouses, and businesses.
The device uses the GWN system, which offers extensive configuration options. It allows for the creation of a network consisting of multiple access points to cover very large areas. The devices can be configured in master/slave mode, where one AP is set as the master and the others as slaves. This way, you can connect up to 50 access points without the need for additional software. All functions are available through an accessible graphical interface, which can be accessed via a web browser. The device can also operate in standalone mode as a regular access point. The GWN system is ideal for creating a hotspot, allowing you to configure a captive portal with authentication through methods such as vouchers, Facebook, or Twitter. This solution is perfect for use in hotels or guesthouses. A network composed of GWN APs can also be successfully used in businesses, not only in offices but also in warehouses or production halls.
An additional advantage is the GWN Cloud, which allows for cloud management. This option is completely free, without the need to purchase licenses or additional physical devices. There is no limit to the number of configured sites and access points. The cloud supports bank-grade TLS encryption and X.509 certificate-based authentication to ensure your network is secure. Access can be obtained from anywhere through the graphical interface in a web browser or via the iOS and Android app.
Wi-Fi 5 AC1200
The device supports the 802.11ac protocol, with a maximum theoretical throughput of 1200 Mb/s. This speed is fully sufficient for comfortable internet use.
MU-MIMO
This feature enables simultaneous transmission and reception of data from multiple users, eliminating the phenomenon of data queuing. The device utilizes 2 streams with 2x2 MIMO.
Gigabit ports
Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s) are used, ensuring that Wi-Fi throughput is not limited by the wired connection.
Random Default Passwords
The default password for each access point is randomly generated, unlike competing solutions where passwords are the same or follow a similar pattern. Random passwords make it more difficult for someone attempting to breach your network.
Unique Security Certificates
The secure boot option and modern security certificates provide protection against attacks. Your data within the GWN network is safeguarded.
Firewall
The firewall additionally secures your network from attacks.
PoE
The access point can be powered via PoE using IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at standards. The device automatically detects the type of connected power supply.
QoS
The advanced QoS (Quality of Service) feature provides real-time control over performance and throughput, ensuring low latency as well.
Up to 100 clients
This access point can accommodate up to 100 clients connected via Wi-Fi, making it a valuable asset in crowded environments.
Captive portal
Using the GWN software, you can create a captive portal for your hotspot. This allows you to control user access and how they connect to the network. You can collect payments, display advertisements, or set up login using an external system like Facebook or Twitter.
Embedded Controller
The built-in controller allows you to configure one device in the network as the master, where you can access settings. The application is accessible via a web browser, so you don't need to install additional software. This setup allows you to connect up to 50 devices in one network.
Cloud Management Platform
GWN Cloud is a centralized platform for managing access points, available in the cloud. You can use it without the need for a paid license or additional physical devices! When configuring your network in the cloud, you are not limited by the maximum number of connected devices.
