AI Detection

Thanks to its AI-based algorithms, the camera supports human, animal, and vehicle recognition. You can configure it to send notifications when specific objects are detected, enhancing your ability to monitor and respond to relevant events.

Active Alarm

The alarm feature can produce a loud sound and display a visual signal. Its purpose is to deter potential intruders who enter your property.

Wi-Fi

The Tapo C520WS supports Wi-Fi 4 in the 2.4 GHz band, compatible with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols. This allows for a wireless setup, eliminating the need for an Ethernet cable. This feature is particularly useful for locations where running an Ethernet cable is impractical, such as in a detached building without internet access. Additionally, the Tapo C520WS also includes an Ethernet port, providing the option to use a wired connection if preferred over wireless.

Motion Detection

The camera supports motion detection, allowing you to configure it to start recording when motion is detected. This motion detection can be integrated with the camera’s rotation function to track the detected object, providing enhanced surveillance capabilities.

microSD slot

The Tapo C520WS includes a microSD slot that supports cards up to 512 GB. This allows you to store recordings directly on the card, eliminating the need for an additional IP recorder. Alternatively, you can use the Tapo Care Cloud service for cloud storage, though this requires a subscription.

IP66

The device is fully designed for outdoor installation with an IP66 rating. It uses UV-resistant materials, and its interior is protected against water and dust ingress.

Two-way audio communication
