The Ubiquiti Gate Access Starter Kit is a starter set designed to control a gate within the UniFi Access system. The kit includes a hub, intercom, PoE++ power adapter, and a PoE extender. The hub has connectors for connecting the gate and its open/close sensors. It features 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, with the first providing PoE++ input and the remaining 4 offering PoE+ output. The set comes with a compatible power adapter, so you don’t need a switch that supports PoE++. The PoE extender helps if the gate is located at a significant distance from the building. The PoE+ output ports allow you to connect the intercom directly and up to 2 IP cameras. The starter kit enables the automation of the gate, which can be opened using the UniFi Identity app, NFC card, or PIN code. The intercom also supports video calls, which guests can use. Optionally, you can install compatible UVC AI series cameras that will read license plates; once a recognized plate from the list is detected, the gate will open automatically.
UniFi Access Gate Control Kit
The kit is designed for controlling the opening of a gate or barrier, depending on the place of use. It is ideal for corporate buildings that have networks based on UniFi solutions, but individual users will also appreciate it. With the accessories included in the kit, you can open the gate using the UniFi Identity app, NFC card, or PIN code. Visitors can also make a call requesting the gate to be opened.
AI Camera Connectivity
You can connect UVC AI series cameras to the hub, which will enable the reading of license plates from incoming vehicles. Once a previously defined vehicle is recognized, the gate will open automatically without the need to use the intercom.
UA-Hub-Gate
The kit includes a Hub equipped with connectors for connecting the gate, as well as 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The first port features a PoE++ power input, and an appropriate power adapter is included with the device. The remaining 4 ports provide PoE+ power output. This allows you to connect the intercom and cameras directly to the Hub without the need for additional power adapters or PoE switches.
The device's casing is designed for DIN rail mounting, and the Hub should be used indoors. If you plan to install it outdoors, you must use an additional weatherproof box or enclosure.
UA-Intercom
The intercom features a 7" touchscreen, built-in microphone, speaker, and an 8 MP (4K) camera. It supports two-way voice communication, and visitors can use a button to make a call. The camera allows monitoring of the area in front of the gate and helps verify visitors. A numeric keypad is included for entering PIN codes, and most settings can be selected via the touchscreen. Additionally, the intercom has an integrated NFC reader.
The casing is designed for outdoor use (IP65 protection rating). The device should be mounted on a wall, with an Ethernet port on the back that also serves as the power input.
PoE Extender Included
The included PoE extender allows you to extend the PoE range by using a 2-wire power cable. One part of the extender serves as the PoE input, while the other acts as the output, to which the target device should be connected. A high-quality, properly gauged 2-wire cable can carry power over long distances, which is especially useful if the intercom is located far from the building where the hub is installed.
