4 Mpix 2.8 mm IP camera with full-color night mode

The device features a 4 MP lens and offers a resolution of 2560 x 1440 px. Its focal length is 2.8 mm, providing a field of view of 95.7° horizontally and 51.7° vertically (113° diagonal). The 2.8 mm version offers a wider field of view compared to the 4 mm version but at the expense of a shorter recording range.

The camera supports color night mode and is equipped with a single white light LED, enabling it to capture color images even in very low-light conditions. It also supports a standard black-and-white night mode using an IR LED. In both modes, the maximum recording range is 30 meters.

Human & Vehicle Classification

The human and vehicle classification feature helps minimize false alarms and notifications. This ensures that if you set up an alert or notification triggered by line crossing, it will only activate for humans and vehicles, not for animals or other irrelevant objects.

Smart Detection

The VIGI C240 supports Smart detection features, allowing it to recognize events and program corresponding actions, such as triggering an alarm or starting recording. The device can detect:

• camera tampering
• object abandoned

SmartVid

SmartVid allows for improving the quality of recorded footage, comprising Smart IR, WDR, and 3D DNR. Smart IR ensures proper image illumination so that the night mode does not result in overexposed footage. WDR analyzes lighting and appropriately darkens or brightens parts of the image to make the whole scene clearly visible. 3D DNR is a feature that helps reduce noise.

Built-in microphone

The device has a built-in microphone with a range of approximately 4.5 meters. It allows recording not only video but also audio.

IP67, IK10

The offered product features a housing fully suitable for outdoor installation, rated IP67 for protection against water and dust ingress. An additional advantage is its enhanced mechanical resistance, rated IK10. This makes the camera capable of withstanding certain impacts, making it ideal for areas prone to vandalism.

H.265+

The H.265+ compression significantly reduces the size of recorded files and minimizes bandwidth requirements. The VIGI C240's maximum bitrate is just 4 Mbps, which is particularly useful in locations where connectivity is provided via a wireless bridge.

MicroSD slot

The camera features a microSD card slot that supports memory cards with a maximum capacity of 512 GB. This allows you to store surveillance recordings without the need for an external IP recorder. Alternatively, recordings can be saved using a traditional IP recorder or the VIGI Security Manager application, available for PC.

Remote management

The VIGI app is available for mobile devices running Android and iOS. It allows you to access the live feed from the cameras and view recorded footage. A very useful feature is the real-time notifications that inform you of detected events. The app enables full configuration of monitoring settings, such as patrol routes and motion zones.

You can also manage the camera through the web interface or the recorder software if you are using one. Additionally, the VIGI Security Manager program is available for PCs.

VIGI system

The device is designed to work within the TP-Link VIGI system, but thanks to ONVIF protocol support, it can also be connected to recorders from other manufacturers. VIGI offers professional and secure monitoring that is suitable for both home and business applications. It features advanced management capabilities and a simple, intuitive interface.
