The Mimosa B6x is a radio designed for point-to-point connections in the 6 GHz band (frequency range: 5150 - 6450 MHz). It supports 4x4 MU-MIMO, OFDMA modulation up to 1024QAM, and GPS co-location. The maximum connection bandwidth is 3 Gb/s (combined for both download and upload). The device features an N5-X twist-on antenna connector and is compatible with the N5-X antenna series, offering gain options from 12 to 25 dBi. Two SFP+ slots, each supporting 10 Gb/s, ensure the full utilization of the radio's performance capabilities. Additionally, the B6x has a 1G Ethernet port with PoE power input. An optional DC power input is also available. The aluminum housing is fully outdoor-ready with an IP67 protection rating, ensuring durability in various weather conditions.
3 Gb/s Point-to-Point Connection
The offered product is a radio designed for point-to-point connections. It leverages 4x4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA modulation up to 1024QAM, providing a total bandwidth of 3 Gb/s (combined for download and upload). The device features an N5-X twist-on connector, compatible with antennas from the N5-X series.
This radio is ideal for creating high-performance point-to-point links. With a variety of available antennas, it is suitable for both short-range links and long-distance transmissions.
5.15 - 6.425 GHz frequency
The radio operates in the 5150 - 6425 MHz frequency range, offering a broader spectrum than standard 5 GHz solutions. It also utilizes unlicensed 6 GHz frequencies, eliminating the need for special licensing fees. The 6 GHz band is much less congested than 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, resulting in significantly fewer interferences. Additionally, N5-X series antennas feature low side lobe levels, enhancing transmission efficiency and ensuring cleaner, more focused signal delivery.
OFDMA Modulation, Low Latency
You can achieve high transmission speeds with 1024QAM OFDMA modulation. The device supports automatic channel selection and bandwidth adjustment to ensure the best connection, even in the presence of various types of interference. The Mimosa B6x stands out for its extremely low latency, with less than 1 ms in auto mode, ensuring fast and reliable communication.
GPS synchronization
The use of GPS synchronization in networks based on Mimosa solutions significantly enhances overall network performance, particularly when deploying multiple devices. It also enables the synchronization of time slot usage, which is crucial for the efficient operation of the TDMA protocol.
IP67
The radio is fully designed for outdoor use, featuring an IP67 protection rating to withstand harsh weather conditions. Its aluminum housing ensures durability and reliability. The B6x can be mounted on poles with a diameter of 30 to 90 mm, offering flexible installation options in challenging environments.
