ATTE APT-3-50 is a switch/extender equipped with 3 Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps). The first port features a PoE+ input (802.3af/at), while the other two offer PoE+ power output (802.3af/at). It allows you to connect two devices using a single port from the main powering switch and also extends the PoE power range. Thanks to its Gigabit ports, the switch is not limited to connecting only IP cameras—it can also be successfully used for connecting access points, for example. The maximum output power depends on the PoE standard provided at the input, delivering approximately 13 W with 802.3af or 25 W with 802.3at. This power is fully sufficient to power two devices. The switch does not come with a housing and is designed for installation in a junction box using plugs/screws. It stands out with a wide operating temperature range (-25°C to 65°C).

3 x 1G Ethernet Ports, PoE+ Input, 2 x PoE+ Outputs

The switch is equipped with a total of three Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps). The first port serves as a PoE+ power input (802.3af/at), while the remaining two provide PoE+ power output (802.3af/at). The output power depends on the PoE standard applied to the input. When using 802.3af, the APT-3-50 has approximately 13 W available; with 802.3at, it's around 25 W.

PoE Extender Functionality

Thanks to the use of a PoE input port, the device can function as a PoE extender. It allows for a total range of up to 200 meters using a standard Ethernet cable, assuming the segment between the power supply/switch and the APT-3-50 is up to 100 meters, and the segment between the APT-3-50 and the end devices is also up to 100 meters.

Applications

Thanks to its Gigabit Ethernet ports, the APT-3-50 is suitable for a wide range of applications—not just those related to video surveillance. For example, it allows you to connect two access points to a single port on the main switch. In more complex networks consisting of multiple switches, using devices with Gigabit ports in certain locations may be essential to maintain proper overall network throughput.

Enclosure

The product does not come with a housing and is typically installed inside various types of junction boxes. It features a wide operating temperature range—from -25°C to 65°C. This makes the APT-3-50 suitable for outdoor installations, provided that a weatherproof enclosure or box is used.
