Ubiquiti Gateway Enterprise is a gateway designed for use within the UniFi Network system. In the network, it serves as a router, supports advanced management and security features, and also allows the creation of VPN and SD-WAN connections. The offered product does not have a controller function; if you want to obtain remote access to the management panel, you need to use an appropriate Cloud Key, UniFi hosting, or an application installed on a computer/server. Gateway Enterprise is equipped with 2 SFP28 slots (25 Gb/s), 2 SFP+ slots (10 Gb/s), and 2 2.5G Ethernet ports. According to the manufacturer’s data, IDS/IPS routing performance is 12.5 Gb/s. You can use up to 5 WAN ports; the device supports load balancing. By default, one SFP28 port and one 2.5G Ethernet port are configured as WAN. Gateway Enterprise supports Shadow Mode with automatic failover in case of failure (VRRP) – you can use two gateways to increase the reliability of the entire system. The offered product has a standard enclosure adapted for installation in a 19" rack cabinet; the set includes two hot-swap AC power supply modules. The maximum power consumption of the device is 82 W.

UniFi Gateway

The offered product is a Gateway designed to operate within the UniFi system. In the network, it serves as a router, supports OSPF, BGP, and advanced NAT functions (a full list of supported features can be found in the specification). Additionally, it enables the creation of a VPN server and the establishment of SD-WAN connections, and it also offers many security features. It supports Shadow Mode (VRRP) – if you use two Gateways, you can configure them in failover mode (in the event of a failure of one, the other takes over operation). IDS/IPS routing performance is 12.5 Gb/s.

The device does not have a controller function; if you want to obtain remote access (and access to some specific features), you need to use a UniFi OS server, UniFi hosting, or a CloudKey Enterprise.

2x SFP28 slots (25G), 2x SFP+ slots (10G), 2x 2.5G Ethernet ports

The device is equipped with 2 SFP28 slots with throughput of up to 25 Gb/s, 2 SFP+ slots (up to 10 Gb/s), and 2 2.5G Ethernet ports. The gateway supports up to 5 WAN ports simultaneously and load balancing. By default, one SFP28 slot and one 2.5G Ethernet port are configured as WAN. Additionally, the UXG-Enterprise supports internet failover using the UniFi LTE Backup device (sold separately).

High performance

Gateway Enterprise stands out with very high performance; it features an 18-core ARM processor clocked at 2 GHz and 16 GB of memory. Thanks to this, it is perfectly suited for large, complex networks that must support a very high number of users.

Rack enclosure, hot-swap power supplies

The manufacturer has used a standard enclosure designed for installation in a 19" rack, with a device height of 1U. The set includes two 150 W AC hot-swap power supplies. The maximum power consumption of the UXG-Enterprise is only 82 W. The front panel features a 1.3" touchscreen that can be used to monitor the device's operating status.

Use Case

Thanks to its very high performance and reliability, the Gateway Enterprise is perfectly suited as the main router in large, complex networks based on the UniFi Network system. It can handle a very high number of users simultaneously, even in complex configurations. Moreover, it allows you to build an infrastructure based on 25 / 10 Gb/s throughput, which is essential if you plan to use Wi-Fi 7 access points from the Enterprise series.
