The primary wireless link operates in the 60 GHz band, delivering a maximum throughput of up to 1.7 Gb/s, closely matching the capacity of the integrated Gigabit Ethernet interface. The UBB also features a 5 GHz backup radio, which maintains connectivity during severe weather conditions when the 60 GHz link may become unstable or temporarily unavailable. The maximum theoretical throughput of the 5 GHz backup link is 866.6 Mb/s. The Building Bridge is equipped with integrated directional antennas optimized for both frequency bands. The antenna provides a gain of 17.2 dBi in the 60 GHz band and 10 dBi in the 5 GHz band, ensuring reliable point-to-point performance over long distances.
