Ubiquiti UISP-Cable-Pro is a Cat.5e Ethernet cable designed for outdoor use. It is sold in a cardboard box with 305 meters inside. A wire made of 100% copper was used, its thickness was 0.5 mm. The cable has a black polyethylene jacket. It is fully adapted for outdoor use. Standard shield with aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.06 mm was used.
Ubiquiti produces special RJ45 connectors dedicated to UISP-Cable-Pro: TOUGHCable Connectors (20 sztuk).
Category 5e, shielding with aluminum foil
The cable meets the requirements of category 5e, so it is completely sufficient for 1 Gb/s transmission. It has a shield made of aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.06 mm, which provides additional protection against electromagnetic radiation and possible overvoltage.
Copper wires 24 AWG (0,5 mm)
The wires are made of 100% copper, their diameter is approximately 0.5 mm. The cable is perfect for PoE supply, it will not cause large voltage drops. The insulation is made of polyethylene, its thickness is between 0.29 and 0.295 mm.
Cable suitable for outdoor use
The offered product has a black polyethylene coating. The cable diameter is 6.0 mm and the sheath thickness is about 0.46 - 0.52 mm. The product is fully adapted to be used outside buildings, it can be used at a temperature from -40 ° to 80 ° C. It is distinguished by very high resistance to adverse weather conditions.
