Ubiquiti UISP-Cable-Carrier is a Cat.5e Ethernet cable designed for outdoor use. It is sold in a cardboard box with 305 meters inside. A 100% copper conductor is used, its thickness is 0.5 mm. There is a special separator between the pairs, which prevents transmission interference and improves the signal quality. This element distinguishes the Cable-Carrier version from the Carrier-Pro version. The cable has a black polyethylene sheath. It is fully adapted for outdoor use. Standard screening with aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.06 mm was used.

Ubiquiti produces special RJ45 connectors dedicated to UISP-Cable-Carrier: TOUGHCable Connectors (20 sztuk).

Category 5e, aluminum foil shielding and separator

Category 5e, shielding with aluminum foil and separator The cable meets the requirements of category 5e, so it is sufficient for 1 Gb/s transmission. It has a shield made of aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.06 mm and an additional braid. There is a separator between the individual pairs of wires to increase noise immunity and improve signal quality.

Copper wires 24 AWG (0,5 mm)

The conductors are made of 100% copper, their diameter is approximately 0.5 mm. The cable is perfect for PoE supply, it will not cause large voltage drops. The insulation of the conductors are made of polyethylene, their thickness is between 0.29 and 0.295 mm.

Cable suitable for outdoor use

The offered product has a black polyethylene jacket. The diameter of the cable is 6.8 mm, and the thickness of the jacket itself is about 0.46 - 0.52 mm. The product is fully adapted to be used outside buildings, it can be used at a temperature from -40° to 80° C. It is distinguished by very high resistance to adverse weather conditions.
