ZCameleon buffer power supplies were created on the basis of single-output universal power supplies by adding an additional package to the power unit, allowing for direct handling of accumulator batteries. The power supply equipped in such a way practically fulfills the role of a telecommunications power plant or other uninterruptible voltage source (UPS DC), ensuring independent operation of the attached battery.

 

As standard, the power supplies are equipped with light and relay signaling and the so-called deep discharge switch (RGR) protecting the connected batteries against excessive discharge. The temperature probe allows you to adjust the output voltage (buffer voltage) depending on the ambient temperature of the batteries. The use of these systems allows to maintain the proper operating parameters of the connected batteries and extends their service life.

 

Thanks to the use of a special, programmable battery charging current limitation system, the power supply can work with batteries of different capacities, while ensuring the appropriate current and charging time for the batteries used.
