Description

PowerBeam 5AC ISO Gen2 is the successor of the PowerBeam 5AC 400 ISO model. It also has an integrated structure, has a built-in antenna with a gain of 25 dBi and a diameter of 400 mm. The Gen2 version has a slightly narrower main beam, an additional radio on 2.4 GHz (only for configuration) and a new handle. The modified mounting has been made of better quality materials, provides greater stability and more comfortable adjustment. The inclination angle can be adjusted in the vertical plane by ± 20 °.

The offered product is very well suited for wireless point-to-point connections (radio bridges) in difficult conditions. The relatively narrow main beam ensures good operation in noisy environments, and the attached anti-interference shield also insulates the device. The new PowerBeam will be suitable for short and medium distances, and in appropriate conditions it enables setting up a high bandwidth connection of up to 7 km.

The device uses the AC standard, the maximum real capacity (according to the manufacturer) is about 450 Mb / s. PowerBeam has a gigabit Ethernet port, powered by passive PoE, like other Ubiquiti devices. The 24V, 0.5A power supply is included in the set.

The ISO version means that an anti-interference shield is included with the product. As a result, back-radiation as well as general noise isolation has been improved. In addition, the front part of the cover (lid) improves resistance to adverse weather conditions, for example, protects against snow settling on the antenna dish.
