The Switch Enterprise 48 PoE (USW Enterprise 48 PoE) is a fully managed switch with (48) 2.5GbE, 802.3at PoE+ RJ45 ports, (4) 10G SFP+ ports, and a 720W total PoE supply. Along with its Layer 3 functionality, this switch offers an extensive suite of Layer 2 switching protocols, including port-specific operation modes (switching, mirroring, or aggregate).The USW Enterprise 48 PoE also features a 1.3" LCM color touchscreen that concisely displays key system and connection insights.

Additionally, the USW Enterprise 48 PoE offers enhanced power supply failure protection when connected to the SmartPower Redundant Power System (USP RPS sold separately). This switch can be monitored or configured from anywhere with the powerful, intuitive UniFi Network web application and mobile app.

Layer 3

The switch supports standard Layer 2 management functions like other UniFi devices. In addition, it also supports Layer 3 management, including L3 Routing and Inter-VLAN.

48x 2.5G Ethernet and 4x SFP+

The device has been equipped with 48 2.5G Ethernet ports and 4 SFP+ slots. Thanks to the use of so many ports, it will be perfect for many applications. On the one hand, you can use it to create a large network with a capacity of 2.5 Gb/s, on the other hand, you can use it to connect and power multiple access points at the same time. The device can work in large companies, as well as hotels and schools. In each of these places you can use it as the main switch.

An additional advantage is the use of automatic negotiation of the connection speed at the ports. The Ethernet ports can use 100/1000/2500 Mbps speeds, so you can even connect fast Ethernet devices to them. Thanks to this, if you want to change your network to 2.5G, you do not have to replace all equipment immediately - you just need to change the most important elements, and the rest can be adapted over time. SFP + slots can operate with a bandwidth of 1 or 10 Gb / s.

48x PoE OUT, IEEE 802.3af/at

Each Ethernet port has a PoE power output in the IEEE 802.3af or IEEE 802.3at standard (so-called PoE+). The power budget is 720 W, and the maximum power per port is 34.2 W. This is more than enough to connect many efficient access points. The universal power supply standard also allows you to connect, if necessary, other devices, e.g. cameras or VoIP phones. The voltage range in the af mode is 44 - 57 V DC, and in the at mode 50 - 57 V DC.

Built-in AC power supply, additional RPS port

The switch is equipped with a built-in high-power AC adapter. It also has an RPS connector that you can use to connect an optional DC power supply. The device is compatible only with the Ubiquiti USP-RPS power supply. A new type of active cooling has been used, it is distinguished by greater cooling efficiency than in older models. As a result, the device works quieter despite a very high load. The housing is made of steel and is adapted to be mounted in a Rack 19" cabinet.
