8 fast Ethernet (10/100 Mb/s) ports, 2 gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mb/s) ports

The switch is equipped with 8 fast Ethernet ports (10/100 Mb/s), which also serve as a PoE power output. In addition, it has 2 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), which will be useful in many situations. You can, for example, use them to cascade switches in one network or use one port to connect the NVR and the other to connect the Internet source.

An additional advantage is the overvoltage protection at the level of 6 kV, which protects all ports and the power input.

8 PoE outputs, 99 W power budget

On all fast Ethernet ports (1 - 8) there is a PoE power output in the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The maximum power, according to the standard, is 15.4 W for 802.3af devices and 30 W for 802.3at devices. This type of power supply is widely used in ICT devices, monitoring systems and VoIP phones.

The maximum PoE power budget (for all ports) is 99 W. It should easily be enough to connect 8 IP cameras.

Three operating modes

IP-COM F1110P-8-102W does not have any management, but has been equipped with three operating modes. You can change the mode with a physical switch located on the back of the housing.

Modes:

• "Default" - the device works like a regular switch, all ports can communicate with each other.
• "VLAN" - ports 1 - 8 are isolated from each other and can only communicate with ports 9 - 10.
• "Extend" - ports 1 - 8 are isolated as in "VLAN" mode, additionally their throughput is limited to 10 Mb/s. In return, the transmission range increases to 250 m.

The offered product will work best in IP monitoring networks. The power budget is enough to power 8 cameras, and the use of two additional ports will allow you to connect the IP recorder and the Internet source, without wasting the PoE port.
