Mercusys Halo H80X is an access point designed to work in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. The offered product consists of 2 devices of this type. H80X supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in 5 GHz. Thanks to the use of channels with a width of up to 160 MHz and 1024QAM modulation, the maximum theoretical throughput is 3000 Mb / s - 2402 Mb / s in 5 GHz and 574 Mb / s in 2.4 GHz. In addition, the device supports a number of functions that improve the quality and security of transmission - MU-MIMO (transmit and receive data from multiple devices at the same time), Beamforming (beamforming to improve range), BSS coloring (network differentiation and interference reduction) and the latest encryption standard - WPA3.
Access points support Mesh technology - they communicate with each other wirelessly, so you don't have to connect them with Ethernet cables. Together, they form one network that can cover a large area. It supports 802.11 k/v/r standards ensuring smooth data roaming, when you go from one access point to another, you should not feel WiFi slowdowns. H80X has 3 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), each of them can work as WAN or LAN, the device automatically recognizes the type of connection. Only one of the ports can work as WAN at a time. The device supports router and access point mode.
Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 wireless network
Halo H80X can transmit a wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. Supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard, including IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax in 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in 5 GHz. The maximum theoretical throughput of the connection is 3000 Mb / s - 574 Mb / s in 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mb / s in 5 GHz. Such a high speed is possible thanks to the use of channels with a width of 160 MHz and modulation 1024QAM. Additional advantages are MU-MIMO - the ability to simultaneously transmit and receive data from many clients (eliminates the phenomenon of transmission queuing) and BSS coloring to mark transmission and reduce interference.
Mesh system
H80X devices are designed to work in the Mesh system. Individual access points communicate with each other wirelessly, without the need to run Ethernet cables. The use of 2 or more H80X provides a very large network range, it will work in large homes or offices.
Seamless roaming
Halo H80X creates a unified wireless network that users see under one name. The system decides which connection will be best for you at a given moment. When moving between access points, you will not feel any drops in bandwidth, you will be seamlessly switched. The Halo system is much smoother and faster than classic signal amplifiers.
Strong signal
Built-in signal amplifiers have a positive effect on the transmission range and, above all, its stability.
Beamforming
Beamforming is used to shape the beam to improve transmission range.
Self-healing
The system automatically selects the best connection, in case of failure of one device, it finds another route.
Simple setup
The initial setup is very simple and requires no specialist knowledge. Just download the dedicated application on your iOS / Android mobile device, and then you will be guided through the entire process in 3 steps.
Parental control
The parental control function allows you to create user profiles and then assign a time limit for access to Internet resources to them. You can also use content filtering to block unwanted websites.
Up to 150 clients
You can connect up to 150 client devices to Halo H80X at the same time. Thanks to the use of OFDMA and MU-MIMO, you do not have to worry about a decrease in network performance even with many users. This is very important especially in home networks, where the number of clients can be very large, if we take into account all devices using Wi-Fi.
Gigabit Ethernet ports
The use of gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) ensures high bandwidth of the local network, each access point has 3 ports. H80X supports WAN/LAN auto recognition function. You can select any of the ports when connecting your internet source.
Router mode
In this mode, the Halo system will also act as a router, without the need for additional devices.
Access point mode
Use access point mode if you are connecting the H80X to another router.
Simple network expansion
You can connect any Mercusys H-series access points to the Halo H80X system. This makes later expansion much easier, especially if you already use Mercusys access points.
Attention! The devices are not compatible with S-series access points!
