The MikroTik mANTBox ax 15s is a wireless device integrated with a sector antenna. It supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard (802.11ax) and features 2x2 MIMO (dual-chain). It can operate in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, with the antenna gain reaching 12 dBi in 2.4 GHz and 15 dBi in 5 GHz. The main beamwidth is 90° in 2.4 GHz and 60° in 5 GHz. The device is built on a dual-core IPQ-5010 processor with a clock speed of 800 MHz (ARM architecture). The entire unit is enclosed in a weather-resistant housing suitable for outdoor mounting.
The device features 1 gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps) and 1 SFP slot (supporting 2.5G throughput). The Ethernet port simultaneously serves as a Power over Ethernet (PoE) input (passive PoE 18 - 28 V DC). Alternatively, you can use the DC power jack for power supply. mANTBox ax 15s is suitable for a wide range of locations. It supports two wireless transmission bands and is backward compatible with older standards. It can connect to almost any MikroTik client device. Simultaneously, the use of Wi-Fi 6 is associated with high transmission throughput.
Integrated Wi-Fi 6 Device, Simultaneous 2.4 and 5 GHz Bands
mANTBox is an integrated wireless device designed to operate in both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It utilizes Wi-Fi 6 standard, including IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax in 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax. It supports 2x2 MIMO (dual-chain) in both bands. Wi-Fi 6 standard provides up to 40% higher throughput in the 5 GHz band and up to 90% higher in the 2.4 GHz band compared to Wi-Fi 5. Due to the integrated sector antenna, mANTBox is best suited as a base station. Thanks to backward compatibility with older protocols, you can connect MikroTik devices that do not support 802.11ax to the offered product.
High performance
The offered product features a powerful dual-core IPQ-5010 processor clocked at 800 MHz. Additionally, the device is equipped with 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of built-in NAND storage. These components ensure stable and efficient operation, even under heavy loads. This is particularly important considering that mANTBox is designed to function as a base station.
Integrated sector antenna
The device features an integrated sector antenna with a gain of 12 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 15 dBi in the 5 GHz band. The main beamwidth is 90° in 2.4 GHz and 60° in 5 GHz.
The use of an antenna with the above parameters allows for mounting mANTBox in locations where there is potentially a large number of clients. Thanks to the relatively narrow main beam, multiple devices can be mounted on one pole, enabling the connection of more subscribers.
QuickMOUNT pro bracket included in the set
Included in the package, you will find the provided quickMOUNT pro bracket along with a metal hose clamp. The offered product can be mounted on a pole or a wall, depending on the requirements of the specific location.
The bracket allows for adjusting the tilt angle within a range of 140° in both vertical and horizontal planes. You can precisely position the device to cover the signal in the desired area.
1 SFP slot, 1 gigabit Ethernet port, 2 power supply methods
MikroTik mANTBox 15s ax is equipped with 1 gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mb/s) and 1 SFP slot supporting 2.5G throughput. The Ethernet port serves as both the input for passive PoE, and the device can also be powered through the DC socket.
The input voltage range is 18 - 28 V for PoE and 12 - 28 V for the DC socket. The maximum power consumption of the device alone is 11 W. The package includes a 24 V / 1.2 A power supply with a compatible PoE injector.
Multiple uses
Thanks to operating in both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, the mANTBox ax 15s is compatible with most MikroTik client devices. Its primary use is as an efficient base station where you can connect subscribers. With the device (in the appropriate configuration), you can also connect a regular router or even a phone. This versatility allows you to use the mANTBox for creating a hotspot or a high-performance outdoor wireless network.
