The router is equipped with 8 QSFP+ slots with a throughput of up to 40 Gb/s, 10 SFP+ slots - up to 10 Gb/s, and 28 SFP slots - up to 1 Gb/s. The total switching throughput reaches 2.4 Tb/s. The device stands out for its very high performance. Its advantage is also the use of various types of interfaces, which you can utilize depending on the needs of the network.
DC power supply, port side intake
The package includes 2 redundant DC power supplies. In the event of a failure of one power supply, the other one takes over, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the router. The input voltage range is -40 to -72 V DC, with an average power consumption of 325 W.
Additionally, the router is equipped with 4 ventilation modules. The airflow direction is front-to-back, meaning air is drawn in from the port side and expelled from the back of the chassis.
Reliable solution
Many features of the NetEngine 8000 F1A enhance the reliability of networks based on this router. FlexE is a technology that implements service isolation and network slicing. It increases overall network performance and reduces latency, allowing for bandwidth adjustment for specific services and devices. The router also supports VPN/VLL/PW/LDP FRR, SR/SRv6 Ti-LFA, as well as TE-FRR/HSB.
The use of redundant power supplies ensures continuous operation even in the event of a failure in one module. Additionally, the ventilation modules are capable of operating for a certain period of time after the failure of one of them (in such cases, only 3 modules function).
