The offered product is the new version of the MikroTik LtAP LR8 LTE6. Instead of the R11e-LTE6 modem, it features the new R11eL-FG621-EA modem. The router can transmit wireless networks according to the Wi-Fi 4 standard. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, with a maximum theoretical throughput of 300 Mb/s. The modem used can utilize LTE Category 6 and is backward compatible with 3G standards. The maximum theoretical throughput of the LTE connection is 300 Mb/s for data downloading and 50 Mb/s for uploading. Additionally, the device is equipped with an R11e-LR8 modem responsible for LoRa transmission. The LtAP LR8 LTE6 can be effectively utilized in IoT networks.
The router features 1 Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps), which also serves as a passive PoE power input (12 - 30 V). Power can also be supplied using a DC socket or an automotive connector, with a maximum power consumption of 24 W. It employs a reinforced enclosure, providing better resistance to mechanical damage. The LtAP LR8 LTE6, with its rich software and LTE and LoRa modems, will be suitable for a wide range of networks. Its natural application will be in IoT networks, where it can connect various types of sensors. Additionally, thanks to the built-in GPS, it will be useful in transportation, especially in logistics companies requiring vehicle tracking.
LTE Category 6 mobile transmission, 3 SIM slots
The MikroTik LtAP LR8 LTE6 kit is equipped with an LTE Category 6 modem (R11eL-FG621-EA), which supports dual-band aggregation. The maximum theoretical mobile transmission throughput is 300 Mbps for data downloading and 50 Mbps for uploading. The device is backward compatible with 3G standards and will function in locations without LTE coverage. Category 6 allows for higher speeds compared to simpler Category 4 solutions. The modem operates on European bands, and you can find the full list of supported frequencies in the specifications. An additional advantage is the use of 3 SIM slots, allowing for the use of services from different operators.
LoRa network
The device features the R11e-LR8 modem responsible for LoRa transmission. LoRa is a protocol used for long-range wireless communication. It is characterized by low power consumption, making it ideal for reading data from various sensors powered by batteries.
The device operates in the unlicensed band at 868 MHz (863 - 870). If you use an external antenna with a gain of 6.5 dBi, the transmission range can reach up to 15 km in rural or suburban environments.
Wi-Fi 4 (N300) transmission
The router allows for wireless network transmission in the 2.4 GHz band, compliant with the Wi-Fi 4 standard. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols, with a maximum theoretical throughput of 300 Mbps. This speed is perfectly adequate for most users browsing internet resources.
Gigabit Ethernet port, 3 power supply options
The device utilizes a Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps), which also serves as a passive PoE (Power over Ethernet) input (12 - 30 V DC). For power connection, you can also use a standard DC socket or an automotive connector. In the first case, the input voltage range is 12 - 30 V DC (DC socket), and in the second case, it is 12 - 27 V DC (automotive). The maximum power consumption is 24 W.
The LtAP series stands out for its use of durable, metal enclosures, which have increased resistance to mechanical damage. Mounting plugs are included in the kit.
MT7621AT procesoor, system RouterOS with a Level 4 licens
The LtAP LR8 LTE6 kit features a dual-core MT7621AT processor clocked at 880 MHz and 128 MB of DDR2 RAM. Additionally, it is equipped with a built-in Flash memory with a capacity of 16 MB.
The device comes with preinstalled RouterOS (v7) system with a Level 4 license. This software is well-known from other MikroTik devices and stands out with advanced configuration capabilities, far richer than competitive solutions.
Numerous applications
Thanks to the use of three types of wireless networks (Wi-Fi, LTE, LoRa), the device stands out with numerous applications. It will prove particularly useful in various IoT networks, where it will be used to read data from various types of sensors.
An additional advantage is the GPS transmission - the LtAP LR8 LTE6 kit enables tracking of the current position. This increases the number of applications and will be especially appreciated by logistics companies.
