The TP-Link SG2005P-PD is a part of the Omada Smart series, featuring 5 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps). Port 5 serves as the PoE++ (802.3 af/at/bt) power input, which is the sole method of powering the switch. Ports 1 - 4 are equipped with PoE+ (802.3 af/at) power output, with a maximum power output per port of 15.4 W using 802.3 af or 30 W using 802.3 at. The total power budget depends on the input power and can reach up to 64 W if powered by 802.3 bt. This outdoor-ready product boasts an IP55 protection rating, suitable for mounting on poles or walls using the included accessories. Another advantage is its compatibility with the Omada system, allowing for management and configuration via the platform. The switch offers Layer 2 and Layer 2+ features including QoS, static IP, link aggregation, STP protocols, multicast support (IGMP / MLD Snooping), access control lists, and VLANs.
Extend PoE range up to 200 m
The device features both PoE input and output, allowing you to use it for extending range or amplifying PoE signals. It's an excellent solution for connecting remote cameras and access points. It proves particularly useful in locations where providing power other than PoE is not feasible.
5 gigabit Ethernet ports, 1 PoE++ input, 4 PoE+ outputs
The switch features 5 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps), with the last port having PoE++ (802.3 af/at/bt) power input. The remaining ports are equipped with PoE+ (802.3 af/at) power output. According to the standard, the power output is 15.4 W for 802.3 af and 30 W for 802.3 at. The total power budget depends on the power supplied to the switch. For 802.3 bt type 4, it will be 67 W, for 802.3 bt type 3 - 44 W, for 802.3 at - 19 W, and for 802.3 af - 6 W.
The SG2005P-PD supports automatic detection of the type of PoE used by connected devices. It adjusts the power supply accordingly to ensure compatibility and protects devices that do not support PoE.
The enclosure is designed for outdoor use
The offered product features an enclosure suitable for outdoor use, with an IP55 protection rating. The device is shielded against dust and water ingress, and UV-resistant plastic is used. The SG2005P-PD stands out with a wide operating temperature range from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius and surge protection. This switch is suitable not only for outdoor installations but also for environments where it may be exposed to dust or extreme temperatures.
Two mounting options
Using the accessories included in the package, you can mount the device on a pole or wall.
Static routing
Support for up to 32 routes in static IPv4/IPv6 routing assists in managing traffic within the local network and fully utilizing network resources.
Access control
You can utilize Access Control Lists (ACLs), with a maximum of 230 entries.
QoS function
It allows for bandwidth control, enabling the creation of up to 8 priority queues. This assigns priority to the most important actions taken by users, thereby enhancing the overall quality of transmission.
VLAN support
The switch enables VLAN segmentation to simplify management of device groups and enhance network security.
Omada SDN
The SDN platform serves to integrate all compatible devices and provides centralized management from the cloud. You can create a very large network that you'll manage from a single interface. The key advantage of Omada SDN is its high scalability. Expanding the network with additional segments or interfaces is straightforward and doesn't involve significant downtime.
