The Huawei S110-16LP2SR is an unmanaged switch from the eKitEngine series. It is equipped with 16 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) and 2 SFP slots (1 Gbps). All Ethernet ports feature PoE+ power output (802.3af/at), with a maximum power per port of 15.4 W for 802.3af or 30 W for 802.3at. The total PoE power budget is 124 W (for all ports). The device does not have a management panel but can operate in four different modes, selected using a physical switch. In "Standard" mode, it functions as a regular switch; in "Port Isolation" mode, ports are isolated from each other; "Flow Control disabling" mode allows for flow control to be disabled, and "Uplink Aggregation" mode aggregates connections on the SFP ports. The S110-16LP2SR uses passive cooling and requires no initial configuration during the first startup (plug & play). The device is primarily suitable as an access switch in most networks based on access points. It allows for simultaneous connection and powering of APs, while also supporting fiber optic transmission (SFP), enabling connection in remote locations.
16x gigabit Ethernet, 2x SFP
The switch is equipped with 16 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) and 2 SFP slots. The switching capacity is 36 Gbps, and the packet forwarding rate is 26.78 Mpps. With one of the SFP slots, you can establish a connection over very long distances using a fiber optic cable.
16 PoE+ outputs
All Ethernet ports feature PoE+ power output. The maximum output power per port, according to standards, is 15.4 W for 802.3af or 30 W for 802.3at. The total power budget for the entire device is 124 W. This power is sufficient to connect 8-10 basic access points with relatively low power consumption.
Using PoE allows for power and data transmission through an Ethernet cable. With this type of switch, you only need to run one cable to each access point, eliminating the need for additional power adapters.
Four operating modes
The Huawei S110-16LP2SR is an unmanaged switch, but it can operate in four different modes. The modes are switched using a physical switch located on the front of the device, next to the ports.
