You can use two WAN connections simultaneously, in failover mode (one serves as a backup) or load balancing mode (balancing the load on both connections). Additionally, the device has 2 HDD bays and a built-in 128 GB SSD. The hard drives can be used as storage for video surveillance recordings. The device supports advanced management and features useful in very large networks, such as SD-WAN, which allows you to connect multiple gateways located in different locations.

The device combines the functionality of a router, switch, controller, and IP recorder. It features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A57 processor clocked at 2 GHz and 8 GB of DDR4 RAM. The IDS routing throughput reaches 5 Gb/s, and the Dream Machine Pro Max can simultaneously support up to 200 UniFi devices and up to 2000 connected users. Compared to the Dream Machine Pro / SE, it offers twice the performance.

The Dream Machine Pro Max has 2 WAN ports - an SFP+ slot (10 Gb/s) and a 2.5G Ethernet port (2.5 Gb/s). You can use both simultaneously in failover mode (where one takes over if the other fails) or load balancing mode (distributing the load across both connections). Additionally, the device has 9 LAN ports, including 8 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s) and 1 SFP+ slot (10 Gb/s).

The enclosure can accommodate two 3.5" HDDs, which will be used for recording footage from IP cameras. Additionally, the device has a built-in 128 GB SSD, which can also be used for recording.

Advanced management

The gateway supports advanced management useful in large, complex networks. SD-WAN allows for convenient connection of different remote locations (sites), which is essential for companies with multiple branches. The Dream Machine Pro Max supports VPN servers - OpenVPN, WireGuard, and L2TP, and also supports site-to-site VPN. Each user connecting to the network remotely can use a secure connection. The implemented firewall further enhances network security and protects against external attacks.

The device supports many features useful when working with access points. It supports Wi-Fi QoS and automatic recognition of connected APs. Additionally, you can use network quality diagnostics, which allows for early detection of potential issues.

Built-in AC power supply, optional DC backup

The offered product has a 19" Rack-mountable enclosure. It is equipped with an integrated AC power supply (input 100 - 240 V AC), with a maximum power consumption of 100 W. The package includes rack mount ears and a compatible power cable.

If needed, you can use the USP-RPS connector, which allows for the connection of DC power. Only Ubiquiti power supplies are supported, as the device does not support third-party solutions. The backup DC power will take over in case of a failure of the main power source.
