The Ubiquiti UCG-Ultra is a Cloud Gateway designed for use in the UniFi network. It combines the functionality of a controller, router, and switch. It features 1 WAN 2.5G Ethernet port (1000/2500 Mb/s) and 4 gigabit Ethernet LAN ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s). Additionally, one of the LAN ports can be used as a WAN port if you want to ensure connection redundancy. The UCG-Ultra supports WAN failover (the backup connection takes over in case of main connection failure) and WAN load balancing (distributing the load using both connections). The device has a powerful quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and 3 GB of DDR4 RAM. The IPS routing performance is 1 Gb/s, and you can connect up to 30 other UniFi devices and up to 300 users to the gateway. These parameters are sufficient for office networks in small and medium-sized companies. The device supports advanced management features, including SD-WAN, Wi-Fi QoS, and a firewall. It can function as a VPN server (WireGuard, L2TP, OpenVPN) and supports VPN routing and site-to-site VPN.

The Cloud Gateway Ultra has a compact desktop enclosure, and power can be supplied using the USB-C port. The appropriate power adapter is included in the package, with a maximum power consumption of only 6.2 W.

UniFi Network

The offered product operates under the UniFi software. UniFi enables centralized management of multiple devices from a single application. It is primarily designed for building hotspot networks composed of access points but also supports monitoring systems - the "Protect" series. With UniFi, you can build an extensive network and control it from one system. This allows for rapid configuration changes, hotspot settings adjustments, or firmware updates. The UniFi application is entirely free; you can download it for your computer or as a mobile app.

SD-WAN allows for convenient connection of different remote locations (sites), which is essential for companies with multiple branches. The Dream Machine Pro Max supports VPN servers - OpenVPN, WireGuard, and L2TP, and also supports site-to-site VPN. Each user connecting to the network remotely can use a secure connection. The implemented firewall further enhances network security and protects against external attacks.

The device supports many features useful when working with access points. It supports Wi-Fi QoS and automatic recognition of connected APs. Additionally, you can use network quality diagnostics, which allows for early detection of potential issues.

Desktop enclosure, low power consumption

The device has a desktop enclosure that you can place on a desk or shelf. It has a compact size and a design that blends seamlessly into its surroundings. Power can be supplied using an external USB-C power adapter, with a nominal voltage of 5 V and a nominal current of 3 A. The power adapter is included in the package. The gateway's maximum power consumption is only 6.2 W.
