The Ubiquiti U7 Pro Max is an access point designed to work within the UniFi system. It can transmit a Wi-Fi 7 wireless network, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 688 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band (2x2 MIMO), 8648 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band (4x4 MIMO), and 5765 Mb/s in the 6 GHz band (2x2 MIMO). The use of the 802.11be protocol provides higher throughput than the Wi-Fi 6E standard, which also uses three bands. Such high speeds are achievable due to the use of 320 MHz wide channels and 4096QAM modulation. The Wi-Fi 7 standard also introduces many other useful features, such as Multi-Link Operation (MLO). The U7 Pro Max can support up to 500 users simultaneously and is designed for use in locations that may experience high traffic (e.g., concert halls).
The access point features a 2.5G Ethernet port (1000/2500 Mb/s), which also serves as a PoE+ power input. A power supply compatible with the PoE+ standard - 802.3at is required, with a maximum power consumption of 22 W. The power supply is not included in the package. The housing is designed for ceiling mounting or in-wall electrical box mounting. Inside the housing are integrated omnidirectional antennas, with a gain of 4 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band, 6 dBi in the 5 GHz band, and 5.9 dBi in the 6 GHz band.
UniFi Network
The offered product operates under the UniFi software. UniFi enables centralized management of multiple devices from a single application. It is primarily designed for building hotspot networks composed of access points but also supports monitoring systems - the "Protect" series. With UniFi, you can build an extensive network and control it from one system. This allows for rapid configuration changes, hotspot settings adjustments, or firmware updates. The UniFi application is entirely free; you can download it for your computer or as a mobile app.
Wi-Fi 7 BE15100, up to 500 users
The device is designed to transmit Wi-Fi 7 wireless networks. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be protocols in the 2.4 GHz band, IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band, and IEEE 802.11 be in the 6 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 688 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band (2x2 MIMO), 8648 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band (4x4 MIMO), and 5765 Mb/s in the 6 GHz band (2x2 MIMO). This is significantly higher than the speeds offered by Wi-Fi 6/6E, achieved through the use of 320 MHz wide channels and 4096QAM modulation.
The Wi-Fi 7 standard also introduces numerous features that enhance transmission quality. One such feature is Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which allows simultaneous connections to client devices across all three bands. The U7 Pro Max can support up to 500 users simultaneously, making it suitable for demanding, crowded locations.
2.5G Ethernet port, PoE+
The device features a 2.5G Ethernet port (1000/2500 Mb/s), which also serves as a PoE input. It supports PoE+ (802.3at protocol) with a maximum power consumption of 22 W. The power supply is not included in the package and must be purchased separately or connected to an appropriate switch.
Integrated omnidirectional antennas
The offered product comes with built-in omnidirectional antennas. The gain is 4 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band, 6 dBi in the 5 GHz band, and 5.9 dBi in the 6 GHz band. The access point provides a large transmission range; according to the manufacturer, it can cover an area of 160 m² with its signal. However, it's important to note that this value is dependent on local conditions such as the number of obstacles and interferences.
Ceiling / wall mounting
The package includes a mounting bracket that allows you to mount the U7 Pro Max on the ceiling or wall (including using an in-wall mounting box). The access point can be installed on both regular ceilings and various types of suspended ceilings. Additionally, the package contains suitable screws and mounting plugs.
Access point for demanding locations
The U7 Pro Max is a solution perfectly suited for challenging locations. It can handle up to 500 users simultaneously, and its high radio throughput ensures that each client has access to the network at an optimal level. You can deploy the U7 Pro Max in locations expecting a large number of users, such as concert halls, cinemas, or trade shows. On the other hand, it will also perform well in office setups where there may be periodic surges in Wi-Fi clients, such as conference rooms.
