The MikroTik Chateau PRO ax is a wireless Wi-Fi 6 router utilizing the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 1148 Mb/s for 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mb/s for 5 GHz. The device features 4x4 MIMO, providing better wireless speed compared to older MikroTik solutions like the hAP ac3, hAP ax2, and hAP ax lite. Upon its debut, the Chateau PRO ax is the most powerful Wi-Fi 6 solution from the Latvian manufacturer. It is equipped with a quad-core IPQ-8072A processor clocked at 2208 MHz and 1 GB of RAM. This ensures excellent routing throughput and allows users to create advanced configurations without worrying about network performance drops. The router is equipped with 5 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s) and 1 USB 3.0 port. The last Ethernet port includes a PoE output, enabling you to power another device. A significant advantage of the Chateau PRO ax is its transmission range, with external omnidirectional antennas offering 5 dBi gain in the 2.4 GHz band and 6 dBi in the 5 GHz band. It comes with a pre-installed RouterOS v7 system, with a Level 6 license.
Wi-Fi 6 AX3600
The router can transmit a Wi-Fi 6 wireless network, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 1148 Mb/s for 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mb/s for 5 GHz. The device uses 4x4 MIMO in both bands, which not only increases speed but also improves transmission quality when multiple users are connected simultaneously.
At the time of its release, the Chateau PRO ax is the most powerful device in the Wi-Fi 6 series, offering higher speeds than solutions like the hAP ax3 or hAP ax2. Additionally, the device stands out for its good transmission range. It is equipped with external omnidirectional antennas, providing 5 dBi gain in the 2.4 GHz band and 6 dBi in the 5 GHz band.
5 gigabit Ethernet ports, USB 3.0 port, PoE output
The offered product is equipped with 5 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s), with a PoE power output on the last port. The output voltage depends on the input supplied to the router, with a maximum current of 500 mA for inputs above 30 V or 600 mA for inputs below 30 V. This allows you to power other devices, such as an additional access point or a camera.
The use of the USB 3.0 port further expands the applications of the Chateau PRO ax. You can connect an external hard drive to create a file or media server. It is also possible to use an external USB LTE modem, which allows for additional data transmission capabilities.
Desktop-type enclosure, power supply: 18 - 57 V.
The Chateau PRO ax features a desktop-type enclosure, allowing you to place the device on a countertop or shelf. Power is supplied through a standard DC 2.1 / 5.5 socket, with a very wide input voltage range of 18 - 57 V DC. The package includes a 48 V / 1.35 A power supply, and the maximum power consumption is 55 W.
High performance, advanced management
The router features very high performance, equipped with a quad-core IPQ-8072A processor clocked at 2208 MHz and 1 GB of RAM. This allows for the creation of advanced configurations without concerns about performance drops. The device comes with the pre-installed RouterOS v7 operating system, with a Level 6 license—the highest available. The Chateau PRO ax is well-suited for smaller offices as a primary router, providing wireless transmission on one hand and high performance with extensive management capabilities on the other. This product will also be appreciated by any user looking to build their home lab.
