MikroTik Chateau 5G R17 ax is a wireless router with support for 5G mobile transmission. It uses 4x4 MIMO for downloading and 2x2 MIMO for uploading. The maximum theoretical 5G throughput during download is 7.01 Gb/s (SA) / 5.47 Gb/s (NSA), and during upload is 1.25 Gb/s (SA) / 0.73 Gb/s (NSA). The router is backward compatible with LTE (4G) and 3G standards. The device can broadcast a Wi-Fi 6 wireless network, using IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols on the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax on the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 574 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s on 5 GHz. Chateau 5G R17 ax features a physical micro SIM slot and also supports eSIM. You can use an eSIM from any provider, and the connection can be configured in the Interfaces > LTE > eSIM Management tab in WinBox or the Web UI. The router has one 2.5G Ethernet port and four 1G Ethernet ports, allowing for network throughput greater than 1 Gb/s, which enables full utilization of the 5G capabilities. The offered product comes in a desktop-type case familiar from other MikroTik Chateau series solutions. The set includes a 24 V DC / 1.2 A power adapter.
5G Modem
The device supports 5G cellular transmission and is compatible with most European frequency bands. The maximum theoretical download throughput is 7.01 Gb/s (SA) / 5.47 Gb/s (NSA), while the upload throughput is 1.25 Gb/s (SA) / 0.73 Gb/s (NSA). Compatibility with the new standard ensures very high connection bandwidth. The router is also backward compatible with 4G (LTE) and even 3G transmission.

eSIM
Chateau 5G R17 ax features a micro SIM slot where you can insert a physical card from your mobile operator. In addition, it supports eSIM—allowing you to use MikroTik Connectivity services or standard mobile operator profiles. You can configure multiple profiles with different eSIMs to switch between them as needed. Configuration is available via WinBox or the graphical Web interface.
Wi-Fi 6 AX1800
The offered product can broadcast a Wi-Fi 6 network, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols on the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax on the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mb/s on 5 GHz. You can easily create a fully functional home network using 5G / LTE mobile transmission. Wi-Fi 6 ensures speeds suitable for most needs and applications.

1x 2.5G Ethernet, 4x 1G Ethernet
The router features one 2.5G Ethernet port and four 1G Ethernet ports. The use of the 2.5G interface allows you to take advantage of a bandwidth package exceeding 1 Gb/s, which is useful if the Chateau 5G R17 ax is intended to be your main home router, with mobile transmission used only as a backup. Alternatively, the 2.5G port can be used to establish a high-speed connection with key devices on your local network, such as a PC or NAS server.
RouterOS Level 4, High Performance
The included RouterOS operating system with a Level 4 license is well known from most MikroTik solutions. It offers advanced, feature-rich network management that standard routers simply can't match. If you need a device that provides full control over your network—enabling VPN server or client setup, or firewall rule configuration—Chateau 5G R17 ax is the right solution for you.
The device also stands out for its performance. It features a quad-core 64-bit ARM processor (IPQ-6010) with a clock speed ranging from 864 to 1800 MHz. The processor is supported by 1 GB of RAM. This ensures high routing performance and reliable operation of the local network.
