Ubiquiti Hub Gate is a hub designed for use in the UniFi Access system, allowing you to control the status of a gate and side doors, or two gates. To function, it requires appropriate readers and, optionally, cameras. When combined with LRP cameras (the list can be found in the specifications), the device can automatically open the gate after recognizing a stored vehicle license plate. There are many installation and operation options for the entire system, which are thoroughly described by the manufacturer in the installation manual. The device is equipped with 5 gigabit Ethernet ports: the first provides a PoE++ (802.3bt) power input, while the other four provide PoE (802.3af) power outputs. You can connect compatible readers, an intercom, or IP cameras to the hub. The enclosure is designed for DIN rail mounting, and the set includes mounting plugs that allow you to attach the rail to a wall if you do not wish to use an enclosure.
Hub with gate and side door support, for the UniFi Access system
The offered product is a hub designed for use within the UniFi Access system, without the ability to operate in stand-alone mode. The device is primarily intended to control the opening status of a gate and side doors/pedestrian gates. In the case of a double-wing gate, you can connect both wings, but without the option to connect a pedestrian gate. The hub connects directly to the electronics provided by the manufacturer of the gate itself, with wiring diagrams available in the manufacturer's manual. The basic setup designed by the manufacturer assumes that you connect cameras with LPR functionality (the list can be found in the specifications) and a compatible intercom to the hub. An LPR-enabled camera can read license plates and automatically open the gate for vehicles with stored numbers. Other users can make use of the intercom.

5 × 1G Ethernet ports, 1 PoE++ input, 4 PoE outputs
The device uses 5 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) for communication. The first port serves as a PoE++ (802.3bt) power input. The remaining 4 ports provide PoE (802.3af) outputs, allowing you to connect (and simultaneously power) an intercom and cameras. The maximum power per port is 30 W, with a total power budget (across all ports) of 55 W.
Application
The Gate Hub allows you to control and automatically open a gate. Its primary applications include controlling a sliding gate at a property entrance, managing a dual-direction lift gate at parking lots, and operating a garage door. In most cases (except with a dual-direction lift gate), you can also connect side doors or a pedestrian gate. The installation should include an intercom and IP cameras with LPR functionality. Once properly configured, the cameras can read license plates of approaching vehicles and automatically open the gate. With an external intercom connected, visitors can call and request access. The compatible UA-Intercom (sold separately) also supports unlocking via PIN code, mobile app, or NFC cards.
