The TP-Link RE450 is a dual-band range extender (repeater) capable of operating on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It is equipped with one Gigabit Ethernet port, thanks to which it can also serve as an external network card. The router plugs directly into an electrical socket (EU plug). Configuration is simple and intuitive via the graphical interface available from a web browser. The offered product has three external omnidirectional antennas and supports 3x3 MIMO / triple-chain technology in both bands. It utilizes IEEE 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz) / IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac (5 GHz) standards. This allows for a maximum theoretical throughput of 450 Mb/s (2.4 GHz) / 1300 Mb/s (5 GHz). The extender also supports several useful functions such as wireless transmission statistics, access control, and LED control.
