The TP-Link UE330 is an external, active combo network adapter that integrates the functionality of a Gigabit Ethernet network card with a 3-port USB 3.0 hub. The device is designed to expand wired connectivity and the number of USB ports on desktop computers and laptops, especially those lacking a built-in Ethernet port. The network section provides a 10/100/1000 Mb/s connection via the USB 3.0 interface (backward compatible with USB 2.0), thereby allowing full Gigabit Ethernet throughput to be achieved. The device supports IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, and 802.3ab standards. The hub function expands one computer USB 3.0 port into three additional USB 3.0 ports, with a theoretical maximum data transfer speed of up to 5 Gb/s. The adapter is powered directly from the USB bus and supports power-saving functions and advanced power control, such as Wake-on-LAN (WOL). It does not require additional driver installation (Plug and Play) in most modern operating systems.
