The TP-Link TL-WR820N is a wireless router operating on the 802.11n network standard (often referred to as Standard N) on a single 2.4 GHz frequency band. The device offers a maximum theoretical wireless throughput of up to 300 Mb/s. It is equipped with two fixed external antennas that are responsible for signal range and stability. The router has one 10/100 Mb/s WAN port and two 10/100 Mb/s LAN ports for wired connections, classifying it as a Fast Ethernet router. It supports a range of network functions, including Router Mode, Access Point Mode, and Range Extender Mode. It provides basic network security, such as WPA/WPA2 encryption, and access control features, such as Parental Control.
Ultra-Fast Wi-Fi Connections
Surfing the Internet, watching HD movies, or perhaps downloading large files together with your family? All these daily activities performed in your home can be easily handled by the 2.4 GHz wireless network with a speed of 300 Mb/s.

Strong Signal, Wide Range
Two powerful antennas with 5 dBi gain and 2×2 MIMO technology improve wireless transmission, resulting in a significant increase in network range and signal strength.

Multifunctional Management Tools
With built-in versatile tools, including parental control, guest network, and QoS, you can easily configure your home network.
- Parental Control
Content blocking
Internet access restriction
- Guest Network
Different password than for the main network
Protected private network
- QoS
Prioritizing devices
Four Operating Modes
Router Mode (Default)
Connect to the Ethernet port to instantly create a private wireless network and provide access to all your Wi-Fi devices.

Access Point Mode
Provide wireless devices with access to a wired network.
Range Extender Mode
Increase the range of the wireless network.

WISP Mode
Connect wirelessly to the ISP network in places where wired service is not available.
Smooth Video Streaming
IGMP Proxy/Snooping, Bridge VLAN, and Tag VLAN functions allow for optimization of IPTV streaming, which in practice means watching movies and favorite series without delays.

IPv6 Compatibility
The device is compliant with the latest Internet protocol version 6 (IPv6). Choose the router of tomorrow and use the IPv6 services offered by your service provider today.
Stylish Design
The device's design aims to minimize the footprint and stylishly complement any type of space. Its appearance is therefore a perfect accompaniment to stable Wi-Fi throughout the house.

Easy-to-Use Management Tools
It only takes a few minutes to configure the TL-WR820N router using the intuitive Tether app or through the management page. Tether is an app that you can quickly download to your Android or iOS phone and use to easily configure all network settings.

*Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Range, coverage, and the maximum number of connected devices are based on test results under normal usage conditions. Actual wireless data throughput, wireless coverage, and number of connected devices are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects, and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead, and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection quality, and client condition.
