The TP-Link EAP230-Wall is a wireless, wall-plate access point from the Omada series, designed for mounting in a standard electrical junction box, offering a combined theoretical throughput of AC1200. The device operates on the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard in dual-band mode, achieving speeds of up to 867 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. The access point supports MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology for efficient handling of multiple clients simultaneously. The EAP230-Wall is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet (GE) ports: one uplink port (with PoE 802.3af/at support) and three LAN ports, one of which can supply PoE Passthrough power. It is an element of the Omada SDN (Software Defined Networking) system, which enables central management via a hardware or software controller. The device is powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) in accordance with 802.3af/at standards.
Private Connections in Every Room
The EAP230-Wall is a network solution that is ideal for buildings divided into many separate zones, such as hotels, offices, and dormitories. Placing an EAP device in each room guarantees a strong network signal and allows guests to use private connections.

MU-MIMO + Dual-Band Wi-Fi: Faster Connections, More Devices
The use of MU-MIMO technology in the 802.11ac Wave 2 standard allows more users to connect to the Internet at the same time. Speeds reaching up to 1200 Mbps and two network bands - 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz - mean that more different devices can connect to the network.
Universal Design that Blends into the Environment
The device has the size and shape of a light switch or socket, making it ideally suited for any room.

Gigabit Ports for High Speeds
The EAP230-Wall is equipped with gigabit ports to ensure the fastest possible data transmission for wired connections.

Seamless Deployment with PoE Power
PoE support in the 802.3af/802.3at standard completely eliminates additional cabling. To transmit both data and power to the access points, it is sufficient to use the existing Ethernet cables.
Quick and Easy Installation
1. Remove the cover from the installation box.
2. Connect the Ethernet cable to the port.
3. Attach the access point to the wall using the included screws.
4. Mount the cover in the same position

Cloud Management Capability — Anytime, Anywhere
Tools designed for EAP switches — the Omada OC200 hardware controller and the Omada Controller software — greatly facilitate the management and real-time monitoring of the Omada network. And thanks to the cloud service, secure access to the management platform can be obtained from anywhere.

Easy Management via the Omada App
Network configuration via the app takes only a few minutes. Omada allows you to customize settings to your preferences, monitor network status, and manage connected clients - all from your smartphone or tablet.

†Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects, and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead, and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection, quality, and client condition.
‡Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the use of Omada Cloud-Based Controller.
