Our 100 Gigabit family keeps expanding – you’ve already seen the incredible CCR2216 100 Gigabit router. Now it’s time for a matching switch – the CRS504-4XQ-IN. The small size combined with the low power consumption (25W without attachments!) is perfect to start expanding 100 Gigabit networking in everyday setups. This speed is no longer limited to data centers, ISPs, and large offices. You too can upgrade your 10 or 25 Gigabit network and join the one hundred club!
4 QSFP28 (100 Gb/s) slots
There are four 100 Gigabit QSFP28 ports. Use them to connect other 100 Gigabit devices or grab a breakout cable to connect multiple 25 Gigabit devices: each port is connected to four 25 Gigabit lines, allowing you to connect 16 x 25 Gigabit devices. In fact, you can mix and match all kinds of connections this way: 100 Gigabits on one port, 40 Gigabits on the other, 4x25 Gigabits on the third, and maybe even some 10G or 1G cables on the fourth. Obviously, there is an Ethernet port for management purposes as well.
Switch chip 98DX4310
Każdy z portów posiada 4 połączenia o przepustowości 25 Gb/s do switch chipa. Dzięki temu całe urządzenie ma aż 16 połączeń 25 Gb/s typu non blocking. To wpływa na dużą wydajność switcha i pozwala w pełni wykorzystać wszystkie porty 100G, a nie tylko ich część.
A multitude of applications
Thanks to the compatibility with SFP, SFP +, SFP28, QSFP + and QSFP28 standards, the CRS504-4XQ-IN switch can be used in many networks, in many applications. The above example shows the implementation in the Data Center by MikroTik. The device can be successfully used in large companies or in ISP networks.
AC or DC power - multiple input connectors
The offered product is equipped with 2 hot-swap AC power supplies that can be connected to two different power sources or used in fail-over mode. In addition, the switch has 3 DC inputs, you can use the PoE input on the MGMT port (passive or in the 802.3af / at standard), standard DC 2.1 / 5.5 mm socket or a 2-pin block terminal.
Low power consumption
The switch itself consumes only 25 W of power, with a full load of the SFP modules, the consumption can grow to 41 W. The device is economical, and the many input ports mean that you can install them in almost any location, without the need for additional power source.
Various mounting options
The housing has been adapted for mounting in a Rack 19" cabinet, the set includes mounting ears. In addition, there are also feet that allow you to put it on the desk and treat the switch as a desktop. You can use the nail expansion anchor to mount the device on the wall (the nail expansion anchor are not included in the set).
