IP-COM F1118P-16-150W is a switch equipped with 16 fast Ethernet 10/100 Mb/s ports, 1 Gigabit Ethernet port 10/100/1000 Mb/s and 1 Combo port (choose from: Gigabit Ethernet or SFP). On 16 ports (fast Ethernet) there is a PoE power output in the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The maximum power per port, in accordance with the standard, is 30 W, the total power budget is 130 W. The switch is perfect for powering IP cameras, VoIP phones and other devices that do not require a 1 Gb/s connection. Two gigabit ports enable cascade connection of switches, provide high transmission speed between individual network elements. The SFP slot additionally allows you to connect using a fiber optic cable, it is very useful especially if you need to create a connection over a long distance. The offered product is distinguished by good overvoltage protection, its total switching capacity is 7.2 Gb/s, and the packet forwarding speed is 5.36 Mp/s.

The switch is equipped with 16 fast Ethernet ports (10/100 Mb/s), which also serve as a PoE power output. In addition, it has 1 gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps) and 1 Combo port - to choose between gigabit Ethernet or SFP. Two 1G interfaces will allow you, for example, to cascade switches in one network or use one port to connect the NVR and the other to connect the Internet source. The use of the SFP slot also allows the F1118P-16-150W to be used in remote locations using a fiber optic cable, which has a much greater range than an Ethernet cable.
An additional advantage is the overvoltage protection at the level of 6 kV, which protects the Ethernet ports and the power input.
16 PoE outputs, 130 W power budget, built-in power supply
On all fast Ethernet ports (1 - 16) there is a PoE power output in the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The maximum power, according to the standard, is 15.4 W for 802.3af devices and 30 W for 802.3at devices. This type of power supply is widely used in ICT devices, monitoring systems and VoIP phones.
The maximum PoE power budget (for all ports) is 130 W. It should be enough to connect 16 IP cameras. The switch is equipped with a built-in power supply, the device is connected to the power supply with a regular computer cable, without using an external power supply.
Four modes
IP-COM F1118P-16-150W does not have any management, but has been equipped with four operating modes. You can change the mode with a physical switch located on the front of the housing.
Modes:
- "Standard" - the device works like a regular switch, all ports can communicate with each other.
- "Priority" - ports G1 and G2/SFP2 are used as uplinks, ports 1 - 8 are given high priority. All ports can communicate with each other.
- "Extend" - the bandwidth of ports 9 - 16 is limited to 10 Mbps, but in return the transmission range is increased to 250 m. All ports can communicate with each other.
- "VLAN" - ports 1 - 16 are isolated and can only communicate with ports G1 and G2/SFP2.
The offered product will work well in large IP monitoring networks. The power budget is enough to power 16 cameras, and the use of an SFP slot will allow you to connect the device in a remote place.

Standard: Default mode of the switch. In this mode, it works as an unmanaged switch; all ports can communicate with each other separately. Priority: In this mode, port G1 and G2/SFP2 serve as uplink ports, ports 1 – 8 serve as high priority port. All ports can communicate with each other separately. Extend: In this mode, data rate of ports 9 - 16 reduces to 10 Mbps, the maximum transmission distance can be 250 meters, and all ports can communicate with each other. VLAN: In this mode, ports 1 - 16 of the switch can communicate with port G1, G2/SFP2 separately, but cannot communicate with each other. You can enable this mode to reduce broadcast storm and isolate DHCP broadcast. |
