Ubiquiti Wave Long-Range is a client device designed to work in the 60 GHz band. It can be connected to the Wave-AP base station, it will not work with solutions from other series / other manufacturers. It has an integrated antenna with an energy gain of 46 dBi, the maximum transmission range is 8 km. The device can achieve a throughput of 2 Gb/s (1 Gb/s duplex), with the help of Wave Long-Range you can offer subscribers very large data packages.
The offered product is equipped with 1 Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mb/s), which also serves as a PoE power supply input. The device supports passive PoE 24 or 48 V DC (more information in the specification). The gigabit port allows you to experience the full bandwidth offered by wireless transmission. An additional advantage is the spare (backup) 5 GHz radio, which resumes operation in the event of a failure of the main connection. A radio compatible with the Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax standard and modulation up to 1024QAM was used. Thanks to this, even in the event of a failure, your customers will have access to a network with relatively high bandwidth.
Client device 60 GHz, throughput up to 2 Gb/s
Wave Long-Range is a device designed to work as a client in point-to-multipoint (PTMP) networks in the 60 GHz band. It supports a maximum throughput of 2 Gb/s (1 Gb/s duplex), it is compatible only with other solutions from the Ubiquiti UISP Wave series. The offered speed is much higher than in classic 5 / 6 GHz networks, so you have the opportunity to offer the client large data packages.
The device has a GPS antenna for synchronization. It is also equipped with a Bluetooth radio that allows configuration using the UISP application. You can also manage Wave Long-Range as standard using the graphical web interface.
46 dBi antenna, range up to 8 km
The offered product has an integrated antenna with a gain of 46 dBi. The beam has a directional characteristic, its width is only 0.8° at 3 dB. Thanks to this, you can get a range of up to 8 km if you connect the device with the Wave AP.
Wave Long-Range is a solution addressed to customers who are far from the base station. The Wave Nano is available with a lower gain antenna for shorter distance connections.
IPX6, pole/wall mount
The device has been fully adapted for outdoor use and is characterized by an IPX6 resistance level. With the help of the accessories included in the set, you can mount the Wave Long-Range on a pole or wall.
The handle allows you to align the antenna in the vertical plane. The set includes a telescope, which additionally facilitates the alignment.
Bakcup 5GHz radio
Wave Long-Range has an additional radio designed to work in the 5 GHz band, which resumes operation in the event of a failure of the main connection. It uses the modern Wi-Fi 6 standard (802.1ax protocol), provides much higher throughput than airMAX ac solutions. The 5 GHz backup radio is a very important element of devices designed to work in the 60 GHz band, because it provides the necessary transmission stability, regardless of weather conditions.
Gigabit Ethernet port, PoE powered
The device has a gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mb/s), which also serves as a power input. The physical interface allows you to take full advantage of the possibilities offered by radio bandwidth. Wave Long-Range can be powered via passive PoE, using 24 V DC and 4 pairs, 48 V DC and 2 pairs, or 48 V DC and 4 parties. The maximum power consumption is 18 W, the power adapter is included in the set.
