Description

Ubiquiti Wave Pico is a client device designed to operate in the Wave system on the 60 GHz band. It also supports PTP mode, allowing it to be used in point-to-point connections. The device features an integrated directional antenna with a gain of 27.7 dBi and a beamwidth of 6°. According to the manufacturer, the maximum transmission range is 1.3 km when connected to a Wave AP or 0.9 km when connected to a Wave AP Micro. It is important to note that the range is dependent on local conditions. The device also includes a secondary backup radio operating on the 5 GHz frequency. It supports Wi-Fi 6 transmission (802.11 ax protocol) with a maximum backup connection throughput of 800 Mb/s. The transmission switches to the backup in case of a failure of the main connection, such as during heavy rainfall.

The offered product features a housing designed for outdoor mounting on a pole. The set includes a bracket that allows for angle adjustment, greatly facilitating alignment. The Wave Pico has 1 gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mb/s) which also serves as a PoE power input. It supports voltage ranges of 22 - 27 V DC and 44 - 54 V DC, with a maximum power consumption of 10 W. A 48 V DC, 0.5 A PoE power adapter is included in the set.

60 GHz wireless device, 5 GHz backup

Ubiquiti Wave Pico is an integrated wireless device designed to operate in the 60 GHz band, compatible with other solutions in the Wave series. Its primary application is to function as a client device in point-to-multipoint networks, but it can also be used in point-to-point configurations.

The offered product features an integrated directional antenna with a gain of 27.7 dBi. It allows for a range of 1.3 km when connected to a Wave AP or 0.9 km when connected to a Wave AP Micro. It is important to note that the actual range depends on local conditions.

An additional advantage is the backup 5 GHz radio, which activates in case of a main connection failure, such as during heavy rainfall. It features a 9 dBi gain antenna and a radio supporting Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). The maximum throughput for the 5 GHz connection is 800 Mb/s.

Pole mount, Bluetooth

The set includes a bracket that allows for mounting the Wave Pico on a pole. It also enables angle adjustment, making device alignment much easier. The offered product is fully designed for outdoor use, with a protection rating of IPX6.

An additional advantage is the Bluetooth transmission, which can be used for configuration. The housing has a diameter of only 152.1 mm, so the device does not take up much space. This is an important benefit for some users and is especially appreciated in locations with very limited mounting space.

1 Gb/s throughput, PoE input

Wave Pro features a 1 gigabit Ethernet port that doubles as a PoE power input. The device supports passive PoE with an input voltage range of 22 - 27 V DC or 44 - 54 V DC. Included in the set is a 48 V / 0.5 A PoE adapter.

The main connection (60 GHz) supports a maximum throughput of 2 Gbps - 1 Gbps in full duplex. It is capable of achieving the same speed as the Ethernet port it utilizes. With Ubiquiti Wave series solutions, you can create a high-capacity wireless network to meet the demands of even the most demanding clients.
